If it's a Japanese game then I'd prefer subs with the original Japanese voice overs since English dubs are usually really bad especially when it comes to anime.
Basically I prefer movies, games etc to be in their original sound with subs (if I don't know the language). It just sounds right that way. Try watching something like Oldboy with dubs and it'll completely ruin the experience.
It's been done already with Battlefield 2142 but yeh I think you're right in that the trend will likely lead into that direction.
I've been playing the BF:BC2 beta and it does seem as though going prone would make snipers a real pain to spot.
If Dice is doing the multiplayer it should be a pretty fun game.
That's all I have to say about it.
edit: I'll admit improving controls is always a good thing but TBH just how much can the existing controls be improved? If you can't think of a good way to improve controls you have no business saying that using the same controls is a bad thing.
You make it sound as though this is a list of game that you like.
If you're going to make a list of games that will make an impact it shouldn't matter whether or not the game interests you. The fact that you don't like a particular game doesn't mean it won't make an impact.
He listed one game
True but it's a step in the right direction. Anyone remember the first colour LCD mobile phones?
Does MS have a courier to pick up the broken Xbox? I'm thinking of getting one sometime but I don't really want to be paying to post something to MS's repair services.
If it breaks on me I'll still have my PS3 and PC to play on.
I thought they fixed most of the bugs with a patch.
This makes me want to continue playing.
I'm guessing this might be part of an expansion.
Such a great franchise.
It's a shame all the best bad guys are getting killed off in World of Warcraft.
I wouldn't pay for all the features that Xbox Live has that PSN doesn't since there's not that much of a difference. Cross game chat is about the only thing that interests me and even then it's something I can easily live without.
I'm going to wait to see what these extra features are. Only if the features are really great will I consider paying for it.
Online gaming will likely stay free which is basically the only thing I need PSN for other than download demos or DLC once in a while. As long as I can continue to do that without a fee I will probably not bother with the premium service.
Sony will need something to entice people into paying for the service so I'm guessing cross game chat might be one of those things (though I'm hoping it isn't).
Beta keys to big games as part of the service would certainly get me in...
I guess it makes sense since a couple of thousand PS3s are cheaper than using a supercomputer. Supercomputers cost vast amounts of money to build and apparently even renting usage time is very costly.
Not when you charge more than normal.
A poor port is like a poor quality product.
Who in their right mind would pay the normal asking price for a poor quality product let alone more than normal when they're giving you less?
If you went to a supermarket looking to buy your favourite cake would you want to pay the normal price when the icing is missing? Of course not. Then what would your reaction be if not only was the icing missing but they had increased the p...
I'm surprised at how good this game actually is TBH as I wasn't expecting it to be all that good on console. I was going to buy this for PC but if I have friends buying it on PS3 I might be persuaded to join them.
lol these ads are great. If only we got them here in the UK.
True but the setting with all the rusting skyscrapers in the background gives it a pretty unique look IMO.
I agree.
If you're going to quote, do it right.
lol that's actually true to some extent.
I had someone talking to me even though I don't use my headset. There was a really nice African-American guy in my squad yesterday while playing Bad Company 2 beta. He was nice enough to keep me updated on what he was doing so I could keep an eye on him. Other times he'd keep an eye on me so I wouldn't need to worry about watching my own back.
