The article doesn't show that Jack said anything like "40 million online PS3 gamers".

All it quotes regarding numbers is "more than 40 million" so for all we know he could have said there are more than 40 million PSN accounts which could well be true.

edit: I was browsing the site and realised it's kind of crap with all it's "articles" being about 4 paragraphs long.

Don't let the reviews get you down. There are many games out there that are much worse and it actually seems like a game that's pretty good to play and even better when you play co-op.

If you're interested in it go for it even if you wait till you find a cheap pre-owned one.

I find it odd that these smaller sites keep quoting interviews from the larger sites and publications. Shouldn't I be seeing links to these interviews so I can read it?

Crysis 2 will be better optimised for PC hardware so if you can play Crysis on medium you might be able to make the jump to high settings in this one.

I'm actually surprised to see HR on any best sellers chart TBH. It's good that there's lots of interest in the game but then again the list updates every hour so it could just be a spike of interest at a time when interest in other games isn't so high.

Natal is a peripheral that allows you to input commands to a device while the XMB is an interface. They're completely different and can't be compared so what you said doesn't really make sense.

When testing usability one of the main things you record is the time it takes to complete a task. I'm not too keen on using something like Natal to interact with an interface like the XMB or the one on the Xbox since it actually increases the time it takes to perform a task. It's much quic...

The best use of UE3 I've seen so far is in Mass Effect which looks pretty great and is tough to tell it's running on UE3.

This leaves me wondering just how much better Mass Effect could have looked using this new CryEngine.

Also this guys says "You’re not interested in the 55th floor of each building".
I don't know about other people but I'd love to be able to get to the 55th floor of a building to have cross building battles. One of the best bits in ...

You've named the two main PS3 blockbusters for this year and then for the 360 you named two plus a few others that aren't exactly blockbusters.

I'm assuming by blockbusters you're meaning games that will sell really well in which case Metro 2033 and Alan Wake aren't likely to sell at blockbuster level due to being new IPs and Splinter Cell should do well but I doubt it'll be a blockbuster.

How about trying to be unbiased for a change? Try it, you might like being a r...

He obviously has not games to play.

What's HHG on about this time? I can't be bothered watching it.

At least Halo now has the improved graphics it's needed for a while. That and the great multiplayer is a win win for Halo fans.

True that. Sales aren't exactly representative of quality just popularity.

He's a pretty picky guy isn't he?

edit:
I woulnd't mind seeing Forza's level of vehicle customisation in GT5 TBH.

Many games that people play get talked about a lot during their time but then die down after a while and ultimately end up forgotten until someone brings them up again in a conversation.

This seems to be one of those games that people will remember for years like Indigo Prophecy and Shadow of the Colossus due to the impact it has on the player.

Actually you do make a decent point.
You could easily remove the icons that pop up and let the player try to figure out which button to press which would be pretty much what you get in other games.

Instead of the $20 card I'd prefer $20 off.

Hopefully it'll have high res textures.

That's the problem. Too many in the industry wait for someone else to take a risk that may or may not pay off.

Your point seems more valid for the console versions than the PC one.

edit: I think it's definitely doable though you may need to decent PC for it.

I'm not so sure about AW's visuals being up there with U2 and K2 TBH. It looks really great but the lighting isn't as impressive as I thought it would be.
