I doubt it but I do hope you're right.
So it's basically like a mini petri dish that's got a thousand segments to it allowing for a crap load of experiments to be conducted and analysed at the same time?
Well whatever it is. It's certainly useful.
It will be a success no doubt but I'm hoping their sales figures end up being much less than predicted.
I'm avoiding MW2 as well and hope that MAG is great. Never really been too keen on Battlefield games on console though 1943 is a lot of fun.
I hope Dice are working on a new Battlefield game for PC. I can't find my Battlefield2 discs and don't want to buy it again :(
If Activision is really in a better position that it's rivals then it's clear he's abusing that position to get as much money as he can from us.
Sure companies are in it for the money but this guy takes the piss.
You make a good point about the NA audience thing. It would make for some interesting reading if anyone looks into it.
They should and they have Blizzard to thank for raking in so much of that MMO revenue.
Do they have any console MMOs?
True but I don't think those games appeal to quite as many people as Rock Band
edit: I just saw you with one bubble and now it's back to 6 O_O.
That's the second time today something like that has happened to me with bubbles.
If all those he mentioned come out this year I won't bother with Modern Warfare 2. Those games will keep me busy for ages.
I don't care. MAG is a day one buy for me.
I'll get MW2 a few weeks later pre-owned if I'm unable to get it from Asda really cheap.
I don't think it's quite accurate enough to allow you to play an RTS properly.
You could get an RTS working on it but you wouldn't have the same level of control you get with a mouse. I'm not sure how it would compare with an X360 controller though.
Same here.
The guys and gals at Blizzard have always taken their time to make sure their games are perfect. It will be well worth the wait.
To think that people wouldn't buy a game as good as this or even Uncharted simply because of the lack of multiplayer is just sad.
I hope they do the same for The Second Encounter
She also looks kind of familiar
All it says is the PC version is better. We won't know by how much until we see from screens from each platform so for all we know the console versions could look great just not as great as the PC which is what everyone would expect anyway even if he didn't say it.
Having said that, his choice of words does make you think the console versions won't look good enough.
I think what he means is if this guy says it's much better on PC people might buy it for PC instead of console which doesn't affect overall sales but does for each individual platform.
Edit: @Pandamobile. Your bubbles seem to have disappeared. Here have one on me.
Edit2: lol something wrong with this sight. It keeps doing weird things. Is it Firefox or the site?
Damn. I was going to reply with something similar but saw Pandamobile had already said it.
edit: It'll run fine on my GeForce 7900 as does Crysis on medium with no AA but apparently according to some it's been obsolete since a few months after I got it.
edit2: I want to replace it but I'm waiting for the DX11 cards.
DLC isn't just a way for devs to get us to pay close to $100.
It is also used to increase a products life span as is the case with products such as the PSP and iPhone. I remember my Business Studies teacher telling us how companies wait for sales to start to decline (or drop to a certain point) before introducing an upgraded product to rekindle the interest in that product.
When you play a multiplayer game you end up playing through nearly all the maps and sticking to the o...
