Actually there is some piracy but very little. It is possible to download the game client and play on a private server without having to pay a thing.
Blizzard games sell themselves very well. Blizzard are among the best at producing games which is why so many still play them even a decade after initial release.
Asda has an annual entertainment conference?
lucky you. my years of waiting haven't paid off.
Thanks for stating the obvious
It should be a lot cheaper. It seems you missed out on the pre-order offers. PC World UK had the pro version on for £80 with the Home version about half that price.
edit: apparently MS will have more offers going closer to release so if you're interested ou could pick it up cheapish.
True, not all are so I guess we shouldn't be assuming either way should we unless we know how Valve deals with testing. Now we know thanks to Panda.
Testers are employed just like any of the coders and others working for Valve or any other games development company. Wouldn't they then fall into the catagory of 'Valve themselves'?
I thought this petition was to get Blizzard to reconsider not having LAN. I didn't realise there was a boycott part to it too.
edit: @Darkfiber. What's wrong with wanting a feature that has been standard in games for who knows how many years? As for adapting to change I think if Bungie were to change Halo's gameplay mechanics to be more realistic would have people whining about it too. (Not quite the same thing I know but still part of change.)
I don't know about that but yeh it would be nice to see sticking to PC only.
They do make decent amount of revenue off the 360 though. As long as PC is Valve's main platform I'm happy.
edit: @Blaze929. Maybe he means less resources developing for 360 = more resources on PC development.
edit2: that would help to speed up development of games but by how much I haven't got a clue. All I know is 360 nets Valve a nice amount of revenue so they are likely to have mor...
You're right. I'm also expecting Sony to do that too but it wouldn't be complete without a bundled game that makes use of either console's motion controls.
lol yeh I don't really see that as a good thing either.
I had the same problem. I couldn't get into it. I haven't played it for more than half an hour after you get out into the wasteland though. I'm going to give it a good shot sometime now that I'm done with the PS3 games that have been keeping me occupied lately.
Same as Timesplitter14
Pandamobile is right. Only a fool would disagree and there's no way in hell I'm paying an extra £10 for MW2. In fact I'm not buying it at all now.
I don't think the PS4 will be out first. It seems to me that the PS3 has the tech and ability to last a few years longer than the X360.
I didn't think it was intrusive.
What's wrong with a little first hand market research?
edit: I'll happily answer a few extra questions for the chance to play a game for free. Especially one that could turn out to be pretty good.
I've never had a PS2 and am interested in a lot of games that were released for it. So BC on my PS3 is something I'd love to have.
I thought it was EA's fault for the crappy port.
Didn't realise it even needed a comparison.
edit: Still, it's good to see these images side by side.
He probably doesn't have a HD TV to play his 360 on since he obviously doesn't know anything about the difference in DVD and HD quality images.
