some people don't seem to know there are ways of getting things for free.
I got two copies of XP for free through my Uni. One was an actual disk with certificate and serial key. The other was a download of XP with legitimate serial key.
I think he's right. We all know there are plenty of kids that play Halo who don't even know what tactics are. I don't know if you realised but he said 'some' not all.
You'd have to be pretty ignorant to say that every Halo player is capable of playing a tactical game properly.
(notice how I said 'some' in the title and not all)
Halo doesn't require any tactics you wouldn't need for any other FPS multiplayer game. The same tactics that were used for games like Quake 3 are all that's needed.
The Bungie guy was simply saying that players will need to approach the encounters in ODST differently to the way they do in the previous games.
I'm assuming he's talking about single player so there will be some adjustment needed.
I doubt it will be a game that requires strict teamplay tactics for ...
Whether or not it works out remains to be seen.
Good things come to those who wait.
I agree with you. The only point to sales is to measure it's financial success.
Sales can help you get an idea of how good a game might be since popular games are popular for a reason but that's just an assumption on the part of the person looking at the figures.
It's true that both PS3 and Xbox fanboys are obsessed with numbers.
Apparently though it's the Xbox crowd that uses numbers more though I haven't noticed it. Not that I'm keeping count or anything.
edit: @thegood33. You're right. Numbers are used to measure the success of a game but like you said the success of a game doesn't always reflect it's quality.
You're right I don't like how people list DLC as full games either. I've seen it happen a lot on websites making lists of exclusive games or any other such list which sould only include full games.
I'm not too keen on using the iphone for games since Apple keeps improving it year on year which pretty much makes the previous one obsolete (if the games make use of the new features that is).
Which of the 360s SKUs would you compare to the PS3?
The Elite is only £80 cheaper than the PS3 in the UK and that doesn't even come with wifi.
You're most likely right. The petition probably won't change much but it's a good way of letting Remedy know.
I wonder how the 360 gamers would feel if it was the 360 version that got shelved.
Would they buy a decent graphics card for it? It's not like it'd cost them much more than a 360 and the extra stuff they end up buying for it.
You're right. Very bad idea.
Also, some people above seem to be making the argument that no one petitions for Uncharted 2 on X360 or Halo for PS3 etc. That's different since those games were never stated to be going to any other platform but their own. Alan Wake was meant to be on PC from the start and it's future is now uncertain.
If MGS4 was stated by Kojima to be on X360 as well and then decided he'd make it PS3 exclusive I'm sure X360 gamers would make a petition about ...
You're right no one is going to lose any sleep over this. I'd be surprised if they did TBH.
There are many who like me have been waiting a long time for this game as it was announced for the PC before the 360 was even released.
People have waited for this game for a long time and then to be told it's been shelved without knowing whether or not it will ever come to PC is a kick in the balls.
The least they should do is tell us whether or not it will eventually c...
I think they can but not on the same scale.
You could get a linear FPS looking as good as Crysis but not an open sandbox game.
Same here.
Amazon shows Modern Warfare 2s standard price as being £39.99 on PC. It's not as bad as £54.99 for the console versions but still £10 more than I'd normally expect to pay for it.
Kratos is angry for a reason and Nathan Drake's dirty clothes are dirty for a reason too unlike so many characters who are always spotless no matter how much crap they go though.
No Master Chief?
Edit: This list can quite easily be improved.
Nathan Drake and Kratos should be added. I'd include the G-Man too.
I'm guessing it's more a list of the most unforgettable characters that are believable.
Edit2: Looking at the list again not all the characters are believable.
I think it needs to define what kind of characters it's listing since most unforgettable doesn't quite cut it.
Sounds like Valve are going to improve their facial animations in future games.
I should have knowon that when I said 'plenty of kids' you'd take that as meaning millions. My bad.
