That's not what he was doing.
He was simply replying to the silly OP and trying to set him straight.
I don't know about you guys but id's other franchises aren't as big as they used to be.
Yeh there's certainly a difference in the way cars were made and are made now. Not just with materials but also with them being designed to "react" a certain way to an extreme force. That's why I think it's so difficult to simulate damage since pretty much anything can happen to it and it's simply not feasable to create damage models for every car let alone realistic ones.
Damage itself is very difficult to simulate let alone trying to simulate the effects of the damage as well since even the effects can go on to cause any number of other problems with the car as the race goes on.
We get damage that affects car handling in plenty of racing games but the simulation is nowhere near complex enough for it to create life-like realism.
lol just how many accidents have you been in?
You say it like it's a normal part of your life lol
edit: you're not a live crash dummy by any chance are you? :P
edit2: anyhoo, since I have a PS3 I'm going to continue trying out different genres and types of games (something I decided to do since it's my first console) I haven't played before so I'm definitely going to buy GT5 on release and see what all the fuss is about.
edit3: TBH I prefer ...
I thought they were calling it 'D-Day'
I agree. This console war is far from over.
I'm thinking of getting one for my brother.
I agree that if a game can fit on a DVD then that should be what it's released on.
However, if it takes up more than one DVD there's no problem with sticking it on Blu-Ray. Like I said games will eventually require more storage space than the DVD can provide. Sure you can stick games on more than one DVD but when games on multiple DVDs becomes the norm people who don't yet have a problem with changing disks will have something to complain about.
Technology has allowe...
The amount of storage space that games use up has been increasing ever since the first video game.
Even if you don't think the Blu-Ray (or some other high capacity storage solution that may come along in future) is needed at the moment it will be needed sooner or later as more and more games start to require multiple DVDs.
edit: (I noticed you've already said that)
Blu-Ray is here though and to me it's obvious that devs are more than happy to make use of the ex...
it seems to be pretty spontanious from all the stories I've heard
Really? I didn't know that. PS3 is my first console and I've only had it since last December.
I thought it would take a long considering how different the PS2 and PS3 architectures are.
That simply doesn't fly. What kind of thinking is that to say it's OK because it has a 3 year warranty.
I don't think giving a warranty is an excuse for anyone to release shoddy products. I'm not talking about just the 360 but any product.
Yep does seem like it would be a lot of work but I think it would also be very welcome
Haha! Now I don't know whether I should give you bubbles or take them :S
I think I'll leave 'em lol
Console FPS gameplay is usually a little slower than it is on PC. The speed and accuracy you get with a mouse can't be done well with a controller. You could increase the speed at which the controller allows you to look around but that would make it harder to aim.
Plus enemies in console versions seems to be tweaked a little to make them a tad bit easier to hit (that could just be me though).
There could be an intro or something that goes over the events of Crysis so new players know what's going on.
Wasn't there a little survey by someone (Santa Monica?) to see what people would like to have in the GoW3 Collector's Edition? I seem to remember something about having the previous two GoW games in it.
You're right. When it comes to things like Human Computer Interaction (applicable to all sorts of electronic products), feedback of different forms is extremely important. Especially with racing games which also require a lot of control which is something I don't think Natal can give you.
Even if I have plenty of other games to play I'm still buying this.
