You seem to be implying that Forza 3 has 'precise simulated damage'.
It is extremely difficult to simulate realistic damage. Even Burnout Paradise with it's amazing damage modelling isn't simulated damage. You can crash a real car into the same part of the same wall and fix it as many times as you like but every time the damage caused will be different in some way or other.
In every racing game that has damage there are only so many ways the vehicle will be damaged. ...
What's with the huge difference in weapon numbers for the 3 factions?
Are Valor's weapons more all round kind of weapons while SVER have a specific weapon for a specific job (or something :S)?
wow, I guess I'm lucky their mothers bought them a 360 lol.
I've come across a few idiots on PSN as well.
Why is it always the American kids?
Being primarily a software company I doubt if MS has the people with the know-how to be able to reverse engineer any hardware let alone something as complicated as the PS3
You should have tried the first Commandos. That was on another level lol. I loved that game and would play it now if it didn't run so fast.
If you have more than a 600MHz CPU it runs too fast to be playable. I tried CPU killer and other software to slow down my CPU but it didn't work :(
If true this is really cool and I'll be getting it.
I'm assuming no affect heat wise since that was what I was on about.
Just to make sure are you talking about the affect of the extra heat faster drives are likely to give off or do you mean that a faster drive has no performance gain over a 5400RPM one?
edit: Sorry, it's just that I like to be well informed before buying tech. Which is why I have a PS3 lol :P
Wouldn't it be great to have one for Forza3 or GT5? :P
Certainly is but still a lot of money for anyone who already has a PSP.
Think of the PC & PS3 games I could get for that much money.
Do SSDs work in the PS3?
I was thinking of picking up a normal sata drive running at 7200RPM but aparently that could cause heat issues. Anyone know anything about that?
I'm with you on that though the idea of a completely different Azeroth is interesting.
I'm glad I have so many other games to keep me off it
Will the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor in Catalysm be seperate like Outland? I'm wondering about what will happen to 1-60 leveling.
That's what I thought too.
edit: could that be what the key to epic loot thing is?
I wonder how well I'd be able to play this on hardcore with a controller.
I'd love to have a proper racing setup but I simply don't have the space or the money.
The last paragraph gives me a good indication of this game being a proper simulator.
It'll be my first time playing a racing sim and this has helped peak my interest.
I can't wait for this. I hope it's as challenging as the first one.
The problem with Commandos games was once you figured out how to do a mission you could easily do it again. I think some random game elements would help to increase replayability and keep it challenging.
Yeh same here but it seems to be part of Sony's push for the PSP which should help to sell more PSPs and hopefully get more developers to create great games for it.
The only thing to set it apart was the graphics?
Did you not notice how different the gameplay was and the control scheme?
edit: @WMW. If that's true then maybe he should try and express himself in a better way instead of being so blunt about it. After all, calling something generic can only mean one thing.
I hate the fact there's no base building too but I think I'll end up getting it sooner or later anyway since it's C&C.
Didn't Kojima himself say he didn't think MGS4 was what he wanted it to be?
