Nathan Fillion is famous for trolling his fans. Move along.
Yea the original Broken Sword might be my favorite adventure game of all time. It is close though.
@Silly gameAr
State of Emergency was published by Rockstar Games and released on both Xbox and PS2. It was however, a terrible game.
I know people like putting Shenmue and Yakuza together, but the games really aren't that similar. Shemmue is much more of an open world adventure game, while Yakuza is much more a beat em up
I am excited for this for sure. Loved the first one, but calling this a preview is a bit of a stretch.
Fortnite is one of perhaps a handful of games that have ever featured cross platform purchases. Most games require you to buy the game for every platform and then asks you to pay for every add on or microtransaction again on every platform as well.
Yet somehow because we have 1 case of this happening between some eco systems and not one other it is the end of the line for that one ecosystem?
What about the countless games that has asked this of players f...
This happens all the time. Everywhere. Pointless article and clearly trying to bait in the fanboys.
What are you talking about? This is the norm for most games that launch on multiple platforms. The account is tied to the license you purchase, not your person.
You do realize this article was defending the game in the face of such superficial criticism?
Why does the title and description indicate bollywood inspiration, but it is never mentioned in the article? Seems weird.
That logic applies to all places though. No matter how many points of reference you find on internett forums you will still only be feeling the pulse of the vocal minority.
The majority of the playerbases on all consoles, don't even frequent gaming news sites and forums. They just play games.
Because most were already exclusively developing franchises for Microsoft. The idea that these are 5 new investments felt like smoke and mirrors. Ninja Theory was the only real surprise of the bunch.
I don't know. I get that the whole intermission thing was weird, but how does that make or break a press conference.
Microsoft showed off more games, but did they really announce more games? A new Halo, a new Forza and a new Gears. Nothing surprising there. Then there was 2 new games Devil May Cry 5, which was heavily rumored and Dying Light 2. Both had a good showing, but both are also multiplatform. And of course Battletoads
So while Microsoft tech...
@BlueBlue retro-futuristic and noir is what you would consider cyberpunk. Does that mean you consider fallout Cyperpunk? Because it is retro-futuristic and has elements of Noir in it's storytelling. I don't know. I feel like you are trying to pigdeon hole a genre because of your personal bias. The pioneers of the genre did not write retro-futuristic. It just feels retro now because sci-fi looks different than it used to? As most science fiction - Cyberpunk is more concerned with the h...
So what is Cyberpunk to you? Because by most standards it is the following
"Cyberpunk is a subgenre of science fiction in a futuristic setting that tends to focus on a "combination of lowlife and high tech""
That was straight from wikipedia, but if you want to claim some other meaning for the word, please elaborate.
It was their best showing in a while. But as always it was a bit third party heavy, while slightly muddying the exclusivity of the titles.
My personal highlights were as follows:
Microsoft acquiring Ninja Theory. While not a megaton developer they have great potential and it could be very interesting to see what they do with proper backing from Microsoft.
Sekiro reveal. Nice to finally see what Shadows Die Twice is, it does look a lot l...
This is a dumb comparison. Of course a console with a smaller userbase and less games will have a higher attach rate for any one property.
The article does actually address this as does the quote from Pachter. That doesn't excuse the only way this article has to justify it's existence is the clickbaity title itself.
@FallenAngel1984
Now you are just backtracking. Kinda agreeing, while denying you ever were in disagreement.
It's all semantics anyway and does not really matter. However you are trying to redefine commonly understood terms within the industry.
No one is calling well established franchises "third party" because honestly it wouldn't make sense. Your confusement seems to be why it doesn't make sense.
@FallenAngel1984
"The IP owner is the thing that separates a first party game from a third party game. Nintendo for example can outsource their IPs to any other developer like they did with Mario + Rabbids & Hyrule Warriors, doesn’t mean it’s suddenly a third party game. "
Yes it does. That is exactly what it means.
First part and third party is a designatition of the party that actually creates the game. Not who owns the property....
Nah. This is a bad move. On the level of Nintendo not allowing let's plays on youtube.
Think about it. If people want to start trademarking dances. They wont be paid. People will just stop using them in their IPs.
Just because the Floss all of a sudden created this cringy kids trend now we are supposed to think the emotes in a game is a sales factor? Seriously..
