The question is not whether their attempts at censoring will be succesful or not, it is the actions is an attempt. Which it clearly is. He even admits to it primarily being done because he does not like Pewdiepie. Going as far as showing to their open policy on streaming and lets plays.

They are saying an open policy does not apply to this single person, that is discrimination. When that person has views that differ from their own it is a clear cut attempt at censorship.

Advertisers not paying is in no way compareable. He is admiting to singleing out an individual because he does not like him.

They have an open policy on streaming and lets plays. Open policy is open policy.

So many people in this comment thread dont understand the danger involved with subjective censorship.

It does not matter if you like pewdiepie or not. Hell it does not even matter if he really is a racist.

Trying to stop people you dont agree with from speaking is always the origin of tyranny.

This is why free speech is so important to every free society.

I think the distinction isn't so much whether you have to be good at a game to review it, but rather that one should preface such information with their own relation to the property.

Having only journalists that are good at games is just as troublesome as it wont be reletable to the people that are not as good at these games.

As long as a person reviewing a game is upfront about their previous experience the reader can decide if their own enjoyment w...

@Obscure_Observer

Every game that is 4k capable on the Xbox One X is considered True 4k by microsoft. It is just a marketing word. The fact that one game that actually will feature native 4k uses it as well doesn't prove anything.

This has been confirmed multiple times, directly by microsoft. True 4k doesn't actually say anything about the game being native or not. They say it is a philosophy about the entire package, including color gamut, sound...

Yea. Console war or no console war. I am not a big fan of misleading marketing. It is just dishonest.

Reminds me of the "true pixel" phrase that was used during the Xbox One X reveal.

This article is perpetuating the misconception that microsofts use of the phrase "true 4k" means native 4k, despite the fact that Microsoft themselves have admitted that it is not what it describes.

Terrible article. So full of bad logic and misleading terminology.

I haven't played Pyre yet, but I absolutely loved both Bastion and Transistor. Both are among some of my favorite games.

the article just lists a lot of numbers. There is no analysis, no reasoning, not even a conclusion. It seems the entire thing is a practice in uselessness.

I am getting quite sick of all these blogs pretending to write stuff all the time. While they really aren't writing anything. Just words next to each other.

It's like most of the people complaining never had to deal with their personaly economy. In a country with a healthy economy, most things will increase in price once or twice a year. And so does most wages, in those countries as well.

There are a lot of factors involved in such things, too many to off handedly say it is not justified.

With that being said, gamers are lucky. Games haven't really increased in price with the economy of most western...

Even if they could run 60fps it would be suicide to make a game trying to be a competitive mutliplayer shooter with that big of a gap between fps between players.

It would effectively lock PS4 and Xbox One players that did not upgrade to the PS4 Pro or the Xbox One X out of being competitive in PvP.

Wtf. Our characters were basically mute in the first Destiny too. There are like 4 cutscenes where the player character talks, and its almost always 1 short meaning less sentence. It served no purpouse and did no character building.

None of the expansions had the player character speaking.

Step backwards?? Who cares. This is a light mmo. The characters are supposed to be extensions of ourselves. Having them talk, or the focal point of the story would pr...

How did this get approved. There is barely two paragraphs with text that say exactly nothing.

I have a hard time even considering this an opinion piece.

What is funny is how many can't understand that you were defending the game.

The original reveal trailer was a target render, it was touted as in engine, not as actual gameplay. The fact that is looking close to this or even better in some areas is not what Woolly is saying. He is merely pointing out how unfair it is to compare a target render to actual gameplay and calling it a downgrade. Whether it is a downgrade or not is a different discussion all together.

That doesn't make any sense.

Sony tried pushing a home console experience on the go for 2 generations. It did not work out. The argument was and probably still is that on the go experiences need to be different from home console experiences. Nintendo dominated the market not only because they had more games, but also because their games were designed to play in short bursts. Most home console experiences are not.

I don't understand this idea that...

Perhaps.

Not for the people that jumped the hate bandwagon though.

While all the updates make the game much more engaging and are making lots of people happy it doesn't change the fact that the people that are hating on the game expected a game on a different plane of existence.

The expectations that were created by the hype machine was of some kind of deep never ending space sim. That No Man's Sky is not and never will be. N...

You still believe that automatically scales story that Microsoft was touting last year?

Notice how the only games that will have support for Xbox One X on launch is the ones being patched. Exactly like on Ps4 Pro. The scaling that Microsoft has been touting is just going to be Xbox One X's boost mode.

With that being said. The launch of the Xbox One X will possibly help the Ps4 Pro as it will likely create a bigger demand for devs to put 4k support i...

It is actually highly unlikely that Sony would recieve the updated Minecraft to begin with. When Minecraft launched on Playstation Minecraft was owned by Mojang. Now the IP is owned by Microsoft.
