Yeah but bear in mind the Uncharted franchise has been going for 10/11 years
compared to the 22 years of Tomb Raider. The main series has always been produced by the same developer as well, where as Tomb raider has been through so many Devs over the course of its history and everyone has tried to put their own stamp on Lara.
As for Tomb Raider becoming a shadow of its former self (I see what you did there, well done 😁) I personally feel like it's gone ...
Yeah man the 2nd was much better. Didn't take itself quite as seriously as the original did and there are some pretty ingenious ways of completing missions.
@pretty Your point stands in as far as there is no direct cross platform chat system, but it's crumbles immediately when these are viable alternatives. Or do you keep your mobile/laptop/tablet in another room when you're playing games?
Hell, I've even used Smartglass to party chat with folk on Xbox when I cross play Fortnite when im away with my Switch.
@Goldby it's hardly illogical - someone presented a precieved problem, I presented a so...
This isn't directly at you, it's just I've read enough of these "no party chat" comments and yours is the one that broke the camel's back.
Yes there is no cross platform chat via the respective services - PSN, XBL and whatever Nintendo are gonna call theirs - but there are alternatives that PC users have been getting on fine with for years. Ever used Discord? What about when we used things like Skype? Facebook messenger with conference calling? Wha...
Imagine this - "game X" launches on all platforms, its a niche title but you buy it. After a while this games community dries up on PS4 and the developer decides to shutter the servers. Meanwhile on the other side of the fence, "game X" has a thriving community that allows all other platforms to play together so the developer keeps the servers going. Would you be happy that you had bought "game X" but couldn't play any more whilst everyone else could?
The original Horizon launched on the 360, Horizon 2 was a cross generation launch and Horizon 3 came the year before the launch of the One X.
On topic, it does look lovely. I'm looking forward to tearing through Edinburgh again. Pretty sure the last time we saw the city in a game was way back in PGR on the Dreamcast.
@cpayne93 and the cross platform works perfectly. I sat on the couch in the living room on my Switch with my mate, while he played on his xbox.
The Switch port is pretty nice despite the clear difference in frame rate between the two. And visually it's a bit harder to pick out targets at range as it's a bit blurrier. Otherwise it looks good and runs well.
Can always tether to a mobile when you're on the move if you have decent data. If it runs on mobile, no reason it wouldn't work like this. It would be great on the Switch.
Well we've got Ashen, The Last Night, Below and Ori coming but yeah I'd like to see some more story driven SP titles directly from MS as opposed to relying on indies. Not that I'm complaining cos the ones I've mentioned all look great!
Really loving the look of The Last Night!
@gamerzero and all the others saying it's full of F2P games. What F2P games are available on Gamepass? List them.
Indie games, pixel art games etc aren't "F2P style" either. Just because it doesn't have a multimillion £/$ budget doesn't make it F2P and shows you have no respect for the heritage of gaming.
And this crap just adds to the circle jerk as well. Gamepass isn't filled with F2P/mobile games it's full of older AAA titles and will provide people with access to all new MS published titles. This started with SoT and continues next month with State of Decay 2 next month.
The thing I didn't add to my previous point is that with the games being downloaded to your console there's no input lag, improved visual and audio fidelity compared to PS Nows shoddy imp...
You do realise that these games are still available for purchase either physically or digitally? They haven't magically stopped selling the titles they have published and only made them available on Gamepass.
I can't understand this mindset that having access to hundreds of titles if you game on a tight budget is a bad thing. How many people wait for Steam sales etc to pick things up because they can't afford them? It's not a mandatory service and allows mor...
@letsa_go
Gamerscore now earns you money on the rewards site. I've made a few quid and I'm not even an achievement hunter.
Maybe if they'd said, ok no more multiplayer access for you but you still have access to your content, this situation wouldn't be so bad. But outright banning the whole account is a bit heavy handed!
I've not watched the clip but having played both versions it doesn't even match up with the regular PS4 version in terms of resolution. Not to say the switch version isn't nice and I'm also considering double dipping but no, there is a difference.
I buy most of my digital stuff on the US store and I'm in the UK. Their digital pricing is more in line with our boxed pricing. Plus I'd rather give the money to Nintendo and the Dev than get it through an import store that ramps up the prices. Having the market place open also means you can get the digital stuff a day earlier (or often weeks/months) if you buy from other regions. I do it with my PS4 and Xbox as well.
So did I, it actually happened so often I had two 360s so that if one broke I had a back up.
@Tazzy
Actually I didn't, I said I'd hope that a £1000+ ($1500+) PC WOULD outperform a £450 ($600) console and they generally do.
I'm also not the one comparing it to a high end PC, you are in this instance as are a lot of others out there. For the money, PS4P and One X are great, simple pieces of hardware that give a better performance than their original releases did for the same money when they released.
Both a...
And the OG PS4 isn't much better than the OG Xbox One but we all know the 50% more powerful tripe gets trotted out every time someone wants to flex their e-peen.
As for PC burying the One X, it must have cremated the PS4 Pro. I'd also hope that a £1000+ PC would better a £450 console. If you're gonna pick holes, at least look at all sides rather than cherry picking info that supports your biased view. You seem like the sort of person who would say &quo...
Aye they took out both networks, but it was only PSN that they managed to leech credit card details from.
Also 85 million sales =/= 85 million players in the same way that the circa 35 million (maybe more) Xbox sales =/= that number of players. It's well known that many people on both sides buy multiple versions whether they be limited edition or replacements for broken machines.
On topic, there was no foresight. As others have said foresight means se...
