PS5 was outperforming the XSX in the first month or so regarding frame rate but this was often at the expense of considerably lower resolutions and sometimes whilst rendering less detail. We’re now hitting a point where XSX is consistently outperforming PS5 on multiplats in all aspects. Dunno what rocks you’ve been living under or you’re both purposely ignorant to news that doesn’t match your views.
Also, the PS5 and XSX are the ...
Hang on... did you just say that the company that just added £10+ to the cost of most of their titles would add value to PS+ and PSNow but wouldn’t increase the cost? The same company who have, over time, increased the cost of PS+ from £24.99/year to £59.99/year? Every subscription service comes with the “risk” of a price increase and you’re blind if you don’t see it or you’re just being wilfully ignorant.
@purple101
In the case of Skyrim, the Xbox version outsold the PS4 version by over 4m copies (22.8m vs 18.4m). Fallout 4 shifted about 300,000 more copies on PS4 (15.5m vs 15.2m). So no, not across all platforms and Xbox still posting big numbers despite the difference in console units sold.
In Japan...
Have you lot not been getting all excited about updates for God Of War and Ghost of Tsushima recently? When the inevitable TLOU2 PS5 upgrade drops will you all roll your eyes and yawn at upgrades for an old game then? Doubt it...
The only issue I have with the graphics is the terrible lip syncing! I’m enjoying it but if I had to put a number on it it’s about a 7.5. Some clunky controls and done weird camera angles plus the frankly poor stealth bits let it down. Story so far has been enjoyable though.
Aye the menus can be a pain, but if you use the dpad it’s much easier to navigate rather than using the cursor
I think what he meant to say was “this game lost all hype the moment I found out it wasn’t a PS5 exclusive”
Aye, it’s always a worry that despite giving these old games a fresh lick of paint that the gameplay feels dated but it was good fun.
The FOMO kicks in pretty much every time a new game gets released. Somehow I’ve managed to resist buying RE3 and Doom Eternal though. It’s Desperados 3 that’s calling me right now though.
Nah let the developer dictate what they want to make otherwise we end up with a thousand CoD clones and absolutely zero creativity.
This is a good read. Gaming isn’t an old boys club anymore and we’d still be stuck in the dark ages if we didn’t accept a broader demographic. It’s interesting to see what stance people take on social issues when it affects their sensibilities.
I keep picking it up, getting a bit further, falling back down several screens then putting it down again before I snap my switch in half 😂
I’ve been tempted by both for a while. Still think I’ll go Xbox first and pick up a PS5 later. Next gen is shaping up quite nicely!
Been playing this for a few days, I’m quite enjoying it. Gotta admit that I can only really do a run or two though before I need to put it off. The aiming reticule is a bit awkward in a controller.
Gonna have a bit of a deep dive into what the series is all about. If you can’t find me I’ll probably be at the bottom of some Wiki rabbit hole.
So would you say these recent releases are a good place to start for someone who had Pokemon pass them by as a kid?
This isn’t a series I’ve heard of before but it looks and sounds interesting. Might be worth checking out!
Aye the vast amount of Pokemon is mind boggling at times. I get that they need to introduce new stuff to keep things fresh but the numbers as getting wild!
I’ve tried it. The combat is fast and flashy but remains silky smooth. The telekinesis powers add a unique dynamic to combat and help keep it feeling fresh. Extra combos and skills can be unlocked as well to help you mix things up. Making use of AI abilities is a must in some fights. It could also get a bit button mashy if you don’t take time to learn the rather basic combos.
It looks pretty, but I’m hoping to see some more diverse environments in the final release. The bit...
