Sorry man, I just gave my extra codes away. Xbox though so I dunno if it would've been any use. More mates on xbox otherwise I would've chosen the PS4.
Eurogamer said it best when they mentioned it's basically a game from another time. To clarify my understanding of it, every review moans about back tracking and padding just to finish out the game but this was a common tactic back in the 90's and coming from the team behind Metroid Prime I fully expected to be retreading old areas to clear up collectables and access previously unreachable areas.
The load times must surely be something they can patch as they vary wi...
You could be onto something. With the Pro just around the corner maybe they were asked to implement Pro features somewhere along the line and that's extended the bug fixing period. Team Icos games always have beautiful lighting, why not make it even better with HDR?
@sullynathan We still play it now on Xbox and the servers are still heavily populated. Can't say how it is on PS4 and I think EA Access has definitively helped the numbers on Xbox so its disingenuous to say people don't play the new maps.
Your piece about DLC costing as much as the game - in the UK it was £45-50 at launch, plus £40 for premium and that contained 5 map packs. If you buy it now and EA Access, thats £60 for all of the content but if you&...
I dunno, other than Battlefront which has been pretty piecemeal, the DLC that DICE have released for previous battlefield games has always felt pretty substantial. You also need to remember it's EAs DLC strategy as they're the publisher, just like it's Activisions fault with CoD.
People need to stop pointing the finger of blame at the devs for DLC. Also, who doesn't want more content for their game over time. Dont like the total price now, wait til later and...
You kids dunno how easy you've got it with load times these days. 30-40 seconds isn't a long load time, not by any stretch. Back in the days of the Spectrum you'd be waiting for minutes at a time and even then you weren't guaranteed it would load first time.
This isn't "sandwich times" like the other article says, thats "pop the kettle on and forget you've started making a cup of tea because you're already playing" load times....
Or flip it. When exactly are the gaming audience going to stop letting their imaginations run wild, internally overhype a game and then lose their shit when they don't get the game they imagined rather than the game they were promised?
Will game developers ever give up on gamers because their sick of us whining every time we don't get what WE want?
Can't wait to see the salt mountains when Star Citizen turns out to be a smaller, albeit slightl...
Glad I used the 100% discovery trick to get the trophies cos it looks like thats not gonna be an option for people any more and it can be a pain in the ass doing it properly. Wish I'd known they were gonna fix the extreme planet thing though cos I had to spend a day standing in a cave for the platinum.
I smell a SEGA style "and its in stores now" style reveal on 7th.
@thisgamer503
Not broken, a common misconception, but unfinished. And sometimes said day one patch adds bugs - NMS has been hilariously crashy since they added the actual game (which I'm really enjoying despite the snarky comment). Other than that I agree with you.
On point, no this isn't the last generation - they can deny it, but with the ramp up in power Scorpio will be Next Gen. After that, generations may give way to reissues with minor hardw...
It's not you, it's the author. Nowhere in the pre-order statement does it say they're taking away from the main FM campaign. What it actually says is that if you want an extra, more streamlined (read causal/mobile?) version then pre-order.
Point 2 - glad someone else covered this. I have tried landing on the light and dark side and can confirm it does match. If you move quickly enough you can stay ahead of the cycle and remain in light/darkess. Not only that, but moons do orbit the planet as do space stations. I've taken off only to find the space station has moved behind the planet that the moon is also oribiting.
I would like to see the faction thing coming into play. Get too friendly with the Gek? The ...
I took the Atlas path so I'm pretty sure I'm nowhere near the centre, but the more I explore and the small steps I make in getting to the centre, the larger the settlements seem to be. Not all of them, but I'm seeing groups of 3-4 larger buildings in one area.
The temptation to explore has resided a bit since launch but I have put an insane amount of hours in. However, I'm still finding new stuff and new ships so I can't complain. Finding every species o...
Since my mate picked up a Thruatmaster wheel his XB1 we've been on F6 a lot. Tried FH2 but it was a bitch to control which is a shame.
Not true, as a primarily xbox gamer I'm all for diversity. It's a falacy to say all xbox gamers are close minded. Both platforms offer a diverse library, it just so happens there are a few more indies on PS4 but even they fall within the indie staples of twin-stick shooter or walking simulator.
Great, more people get to play it! It's a divisive game though and with the lower install base there is a reduced sales potential - even more so when you consider us multiplatform folks. Still, it'll turn some of the haters into fans and thats only a good thing. Here's hoping it comes with a shared encyclopeadia of flora and fauna.
Nice approach to documenting the first few hours play. I managed to pick up a copy yesterday and had started something similar. Sounds like the universe is out to get you, I've had no bother from anything so far. Found some weird and wonderful stuff, almost died when I jetpacked off a cliff trying to reach a cave and I've tried a bit of piracy but other than environmental hazards I've been nice n safe. It's pretty good so far, however I can see a few people being disappointed ...
Its due holiday 2016. Still nothing specific so anywhere between October and the end of December? Can't come quick enough in my opinion.
Downloading as we speak!!
And all around the world, millions of preorders get cancelled.
Great news though!
