But last gen PS3 used dedicated servers. Dedicated servers are a new thing to Xbox gamers.
The only thing holding the Xbox One back is itself.
How is giving the consumer the OPTION of lowering assets for higher FPS (or vice versa) bad? Isn't this what PC games do? Allow you to lower certain graphical aspects to hit higher FPS (or vice versa). Aleast ND is leaving the option to the gamer instead of making the decision for us.
The license is stored locally, but it does check if its valid IF you connect to the PSN (with the purchasing account). If you buy a game and deactivate the console via SEN website, you are still able to play the game as long as you do not connect the account to PSN. This leads me to believe the license is stored locally since you can play the games offline. This is also how the DRM is circumvented, people who game share do this all the time.
@ why
For most games you have to be either logged in as the user who purchased the content (this allows you to play the game on a non primary PS4) or have the PS4 activated as the primary PS4 (this allows you to play the game while logged in as a different user than the purchaser). If you did not buy the game with your account and it the PS4 is not activated as the primary PS4, there will be a lock icon which means you can't access the game.
@ angelicicediamond
He just said what our reward is. It's the benefit of being the lead platform with a higher probability of getting exclusive third party content. Multiplats are nice and all, but if a developer can focus on one platform obviously the end result will be of much higher quality.
Did you even read his comment? He mentions nothing about arguing preferences or trolling. How did you even come up with that from his reply?
To answer your question, I'd rather take the hot girlfriend over the fat girlfriend. Even if I had to wait six months, I don't mind the wait since I've had the pleasure of occupying my time with numerous hot girlfriends.
To put it in layman terms for you, I'd rather have the definitive version of games, since that's what I am used to playing.
@ ic3fir3
Please show me one instance where Sony has listed Destiny as a PS4 exclusive. Not content, but the actual game. That tweet was heavily insinuating AC, CoD, and Evolve were exclusive games, not DLC, but the actual games.
You seem pretty salty that 1080p was never an option for you. "You can keep the 1080p" makes you sound like that guy who loses his girlfriend to a better looking guy and tries to mask his butthurt with, what he thinks are, insults. See below.
Guy has fat girlfriend (Xbox gamer playing 900p version).
Fat girlfriend loses weight and becomes hot girlfriend. (900p version becomes definitive 1080p version).
Hot girlfriend leaves guy for stronger, better l...
@ KNWS
You do an excellent job of conveying your ignorance, good job there. Xbox fanatics will do anything to improve their lackluster exclusive list. Including:
- KI Season 2 hype, which is nothing more than a DLC expansion to the first game, just adding more characters to a game that lacked so many.
- Hype for the Halo 5 beta. Microsoft actually listed this as a top rated exclusive. Seriously, a beta lol. And the Xbox fanatics ate it up. Betas a nic...
@ JBSleek
So you want to call out PS4 gamers? How about you get called out, on your BS drivel. First off, there is nothing standard about PC gaming, the very concept of having different levels of GPU performance goes against the definition of standard. Do you even know the definition of standard? Just because a small percentage of PC gamers were able to run demanding games at 1080p/60fps in 2008 doesn't make it a standard. So no, 1080p/60fps was not "standard" i...
Perhaps he posts all day while at work. Or school. Or maybe he is able to multitask while gaming. You don't think that's an ability exclusive to the Xbox One with the snap feature, do you?
@douglord
That's incorrect. About 55% of 360 sales are from US, roughly 10% are from the UK. Most of the remaining 35% came from the rest of their major markets (I.e. AU, Brazil, more EU countries). Xbox One is already available in all of these markets. I'd be surprised if the remaining tier 2 countries account for 10% of Xbox 360 sales, let alone 40% like you stated.
Face it, when Xbox One releases in these markets its not going to be as big a deal m...
@KNWS
First, Microsoft scrapped 3 Xbox 360 games to make them Xbox One launch titles. Do you approve abandoning an established user base in order to fluff a launch lineup?
Second, Microsoft showed all their cards at E3 while Sony save some for Gamescom and TGS. So if you are waiting for games by their other studios, stay tuned.
You call all that screen tearing on the Xbox One version an improvement?
@KNWS
Where were you last gen when Microsoft put 1080p on EVERY game case, despite none of the games having a resolution of 1080p? That's hundreds of games they lied about, let me guess, those never made it to the top of your head.
@ tedakin
What are you talking about? Microsoft lied all last gen. On all their game boxes they state the games resolutions to include 1080p, when none of them were 1080p.
And before anyone spouts drivel about upscaling, the console upscaling a 720p signal to 1080p does not constitute the game being 1080p. The resolution on the disc is the resolution of the game, not what happens after post processing from an external source.
So it's no longer an issue because your platform of preference went from having slightly better multiplats last gen to, on a larger scale, inferior versions this gen? Don't be so salty. Do yourself a favor; from now on whenever you see a comparison article just move on (don't waste your bubble) since you already know what the outcome will be.
Oh and by the way, you should be less concerned with what games PS4 gamers get and more concerned with games you will get d...
@ consoleslateagain
You do realize legitimate comparisons remove all variables, which is why PC comparisons are moot... too many variables. Your version of a game may be different then someone else's (quality wise).
100% of PS4 consoles are more powerful than Xbox One consoles.
100% of PCs are NOT more powerful than PS4 or Xbox One consoles.
So if we were to compare console games to PC games, whose PC would you cherry-pick? The kid with a...
@ darthv72
So you are saying just because something is the same, certain differences shouldn't matter? So there is no difference between eating a perfectly cooked steak and a over-cooked rubber steak? According to you they are both steak, from the same cow, same price, same ingredients... Doesn't matter if they are cooked by different chefs with different end results. Which steak would you choose? The one with better quality I presume. Or does quality not matter since...
@ hanuman
There is this neat thing called a smartphone. It lets you browse the internet on the go. You can even log into n4g and post comments from it. Go figure.
Nah, nevermind, he couldn't possibly have one of those. /s
