@ truefan1
You are a joke. Seriously. The PS3 let you down last gen? But the 360 didn't? Really? Please elaborate on the MANY games, since 2010, that you could play on the 360 that was not available on the PS3. You can't, because there was about a handful of exclusives they offered you. Ask any PS3 gamer how many games were available to them, since 2010, that was not available on the 360. There aren't enough fingers and toes on the human body to count them. The 36...
I think your wallet is hurt because you paid an extra $100 for what's about to be another useless peripheral. But you're right if you had gotten a PS4 you would have saved money, all while getting a stronger console that allows you to play games at a higher resolution with better frame rates. :)
Unmitigated facts, lol. That's funny. The only facts are that Ryse runs at a lower resolution, has less polygons, has less particle effects, and runs at a lower frame rate than infamous. Those are facts. One can also say that aside from a few environments, Ryse is a very gray, bland game.
So last gen when some xbox 360 games ran at 720p and some ps3 games ran at 700p, the differences were totally noticeable enough for every xbox fanatic to brag about the xbox having superior multiplats. But this gen when most ps4 games are 1080p and most xbox one games are 720p/900p, the differences are totally unnoticeable... No reason to mention the ps4 having the superior multiplats? All of a sudden resolution and frame rate doesn't matter... Right?
Killer instinct is not better than Injustice, sorry. And infamous has more polygons than Ryse, which was the main thing everyone was bragging about it. Character polygons aside, Infamous also has better environments and effects than Ryse.
If they wanted to be honest they should have said "same price, but 'we have the weaker console'.
@ loveofthegame
I got his point. But his point is not comparable to EA's scenario. The fact of the matter is that to run servers, there are costs. EA does not have an infinite supply of money to dump into every game they release forever. Apparently they have to shut down old, minimally used servers (if their claim of the small percentage is fact) for new games (or use the servers to improve existing games that are played by more gamers). Unless Valve has the same number o...
@ andrewlb
How do you know his current setup? You speak as if the only thing that needs to be done to a PC is upgrade the GPU and all is well. What if his computer is older and he needs to upgrade his CPU also, to prevent bottlenecks. Or maybe his PSU is also old and he needs to update it so that it outputs enough power to run the components. What about RAM? Maybe a better cooling system because his PC may generate more heat than before. Sometimes it's not always as simpl...
@ the hobbyist
How many of their games are valve maintaining servers for? Don't you thinks it's a bit unfair to compare a company keeping up servers for a few old games to a company keeping up servers to up to 50 older game?
@ truefan1
How can you expect anyone to take you seriously when you make comments such as Titanfall having a 40% attach rate. Are you forgetting that it's also on two other platforms? Do you realize how many copies would have to have been sold on the Xbox 360 to maintain a 40% attach rate?
Perhaps the contract terms were contingent on a total sales target (I.e. both Xbox One and 360). They may be happy with the Xbox One sales but disappointed in the 360 s...
First off, let me start by saying I do not agree with what Sony is potentially doing here.
It is true that when you purchase a game from SEN with a PS+ discount you have access to that game even after your subscription ends. But that is not the case here. Sony is NOT offering to purchase the game with the PS+ discount (which would allow access even after subscription ends), they are allowing people that have the PS+ Edition to get the full digital game content for a fee. Ther...
@ true fan
How you've gotten agrees for your comment is beyond me, especially when you blatantly mis type a quote. The quote suggests that when you upgrade FROM the PS+ edition you get the full digital content. Your quote of upgrading to PS+ to get the full digital copy was never implied by anyone. So not to be rude, but nobody has lied in that regard, it seems you may lack some simple reading comprehension skills is all.
@melman26
If you are strictly talking about games being on the Xbox One, then it does not really matter if they are third party or first party. But if you are trying it promote the perception that Microsoft is focused on gaming and making games and new IPs then it does matter. What has Microsoft been doing since 2010 that cause them to only release one first party launch title. It's not as if they were releasing titles for the 360, which would have been understandable. ...
@ Melman26
They may be focusing on games now, but how can you insinuate that they have always been focused on games when:
1) Their exclusive game releases have drastically dwindled since 2010.
2) So far only 1 of their AAA titles were developed in house. Titanfall, Ryse, and Dead Rising 3 are all third party. This tells me they were more concerned with buying exclusives than making them.
3) A good chunk of their launch line up were originally ...
@ n4rc
So how is Titanfall redefining the FPS genre with jetpacks, parkour, and AI when those things have already been done in FPS games? How do the jetpacks in Titanfall vary from those in Halo?
Nothing next gen about infamous? Are you kidding me? Have you played the game? Please show me a last gen open world game with visuals remotely close to those of infamous. Show me a last gen game with the particle effects anywhere near those of infamous.
Didn't Halo have vertical gameplay with jet packs? Didn't Brink have parkour gameplay with AI? I wouldn't go as far as to say redefines the genre... Seems like a stretch. Maybe it redefined it for you?
^^^ mocking someone for their grammar and spells it incorrectly. Genius.
If PS4 only has infamous how is it I can play Knack, AC4, NFS Rivals, Battlefield 4, and Thief?
@ dragonknight
You are assuming most of the people who purchase remastered versions own or played the original. There is no way to tell what number of remastered versions are people who never played the original, meaning backwards compatibility would be a moot point for them since they do not own the original copy.
