The whole market is very different, shooters are not big.
The xbox is sort of made for that style of gaming, and its the home market for ps3/nintendo so MS will never expect to do amazing, but I guess they are trying to get a small following and hoping it could snowball.

I only play the xbox version, but it does have many problems too.
If you look on the treyarch forums for the 360 you will notice a massive thread about lag.
The game uses a lag compensator so it looks like everyone has a green (3 or 4) bar connection when they really dont.
Treyarch used this on all platforms and it gives people with bad connections and high ping a massive advantage.
Also the person who talks all that xbox live + $10 price hike etc...

Im gonna give it a try and see how it goes, but how many games have tried to kill COD and failed.

MS have a good grip on the console market and kinect has helped keep it in the race. THey are gonna be competing on too many fronts, I think they will go the Iphone direction with games for smartphones.

MS used marketing, but you shouldn't knock something down that you havent used..I personally wouldnt buy kinect but tried it in store with some friends, it was quite fun and if some parents think it will help kids exercise they would buy it without hesitation. There are a number of factors why kinect sold so well, not just every xbox owner is an idiot.

Theres no point trying to use logic. Most real gamers have both consoles (me included) for exclusive titles,
but this sort of bias between manufacturers happens all the time with everything from TV's to cars to mobile phones.
I got my xbox for GTA IV, at the time I didnt need a PS3, I eventually got one though.
Most arguments involving these consoles are pretty stupid - Yes the 360 scratches discs when moved but who moves their console...
Its not mandatory install (i think), but if you dont want to swap discs just install them both and leave disc 2 in the tray for verification..
This update was actually for getting ready for map packs.
You can see the store now from within the game..It says new on the store before you go to party.
most of the other fixes were done via hotfix...

the multiplayer stuff in splinter cell was great..The single player a little too repetitive and they cheaped out on character voices. I really liked that game,
GTA should not be on there either...The single player wasnt amazing but it was good, I loved playing GTA multiplayer for almost 18 months..

the ps3 hacks are slightly to do with the ps3 jailbreak, but what most people dont know is these sorts of hacks were happening before the jailbreak. 1 guy managed to hack the game via the save data on the ps3, MW2 security was crap, xbox got hacked and the exact same hacks are on the ps3.
Im pretty sure it will start making it to the better ps3 games soon..?

Ive been using the wireless ones, but when I get hold of a wired one, you can see the difference in the games...
After 5 years the only thing MS have improved is the D pad, they charge a body part for it though...
My only concern is, since they sorted the stupid D pad issue...Why not remove the batter pack and make it in built?
That way the controller would be lighter and not have that massive bulge in the back....

Just the PS3 version has many many problems, more than the xbox.
They should also report MW2 - We all know that game was not finished for sure, since they had so many extras on the disc which were not used.
Thats why MW2 had so many hacks on the pc/xbox quite early on.
It pretty much seems like activision are the only publisher releasing unfinished games.

Yes the 360 was bad, but for the most part its been fixed.
Ive had 2 xbox's, the old 120gb elite which I sold for the new slim 250 gb.
Never had a problem, same goes for the ps3, Ive now had 2.
The fat and the slim 250gb and not a problem with either.
I have a few friends who used to have modded xbox's, but the person that modded their xbox told them never to update firmware via xbox live unless its a game update.
All firmware updates have to be edited so pirated games can work.
