How would a game that completely rips everything from Smash Bros. with worse characters (less recognisable) and stages be better?
@SilentNegotiatior: If someone who's tried it had disagreed with it, then surely they could have said something?
Not a bad idea.
I'm just not sure the devs are scared of the controller, they're just scared at the idea of making a Nintendo game in the first place.
Even with the pro controller as the only controller the devs would still shy away from the console.
Just my opinion.
I don't care if the Wii U fails horribly as long as I get the games I love.
Reggie actually said that the people campaigning to get Xenoblade on the Wii had no effect whatsoever on their decision to bring it to other consoles.
X is definitely coming after the amazing reception Xenoblade got.
You just hope it wont get localised so the Wii U fails.
I don't understand why you constantly come to Nintendo articles and troll like this. It just seems immature.
Motion control was great on the Wii, and off screen play is wonderful on the Wii U.
And Mario 3D world is better than Knack (as the reviews have stated).
The PS4 and Xbox One won't pass it that quickly. A console has never, in the history of consoles, kept the same pace after a great launch.
The Wii U sold 3 million in it's first month. Then it tapered off and has only recently reached 4 million.
The PS4 and Xbox One will probably overtake the Wii U, but not that quickly.
The writer did clarify that they're winning, not that they have won.
And they kind of are winning.
They have the most sales, the most games, the most exclusives, the highest rated games and the cheapest console.
As well as how, as the author said, the Wii U is pretty much keeping pace with the PS4 right now (shortages or not).
That's not bad considering the PS4 just launched and still has that new console smell.
Although the Wii U coul...
I approve this answer. This is 100% correct.
Awesome, I hope we're getting a new one. They'll probably announce it after Donkey Kong Country TF comes out.
Nintendo let Retro choose themselves what they were going to do next.
They chose Donkey Kong.
If they had wanted to do another Metroid, they would have.
Except, you know, it's in 3D.
Yeah, Steambox does look great, but I'd just like to see how they go before buying one, they could flop completely (ouya) and then you'd be left with a console not receiving much support etc.
Maybe they were surprised by the Wii U launch and had to push out their consoles extra fast?
The Wii U version of CoD also has Wii remote pointer controls, which can make the game feel much faster and responsive, as well as improving the immersion.
Obviously. How do you think CoD has been doing so well?
I think Nintendo is already on track to turn the console around with Mario Kart 8, X, Smash Bros., Bayonetta 2 etc. coming out soon enough.
They just have to make sure there's something coming after that, or the sales might dwindle again.
Congratulations Nintendo! I hope the Wii U continues on it's upward trend, and I hope the 3DS stays strong into the future.
And all of the items add more strategic elements.
Like how if someone gets the hammer you suddenly have to run or reach higher ground that they can't jump to.
Or if someone gets a bomb when you're both on a high percentage and you stick to them like glue so they'll have to kill themselves to kill you.
Or if you've got a bomb you can throw it into the air in the hope that they'll forget about it before it lands (yes, in the heat of the battle people ...
