Obviously our opinions differ, I would much rather buy a Wii U than a smartphone (although I already have a Wii U).
I think that the Wii U will last years of use, whereas a cheap smartphone will stop being supported fairly quickly. You could still use it for calls or texts, but you wouldn't be able to download new apps or software.
The Wii U is doing fine (now). Even if it sold zero systems it wouldn't make Nintendo go the way of Sega. That's just wishful thinking.
Sales mattered when the PS3 was beating the Wii U, but suddenly everyone tries to downplay it since the Wii U is doing well.

And people were comparing the PS3 sales to the Wii U sales back when the Wii U was doing badly, it was fine then to say "oh look, the PS3 is better" but now it's not okay to compare them anymore. You're right, this site has terrible double standards.

Right now, Nintendo's favourite Mario characters are definitely Rosalina and Luigi. Rosalina seems to be getting added to every game she can be, and Luigi had the entire year devoted to him.
I'm happy, too, that Luigi is in the spotlight. He's definitely my favourite Mario character. He has the most character, and I like that about him.

Knack is in a tiny, enclosed environment that makes it easy to make a game look good. X is open world, which is incredibly difficult to make look good. The Wonderful 101 graphics are amazing, considering the scale of the game, the massive amount of characters on screen, the way every one of those characters is different in moveset, looks, and animation. You're probably basing the graphics on the closeups shown in trailers. That's like zooming in on a pebble in Killzone Shadow Fall unt...

Great. I loved the trophies, and the information about the item/person in the trophy and what game it/they were from. It was very interesting looking at them and reading the info.
