This is why people want Nintendo to make mobile games or go third party, because they want to play those 37 Nintendo titles in the top fifty on their console of choice without having to buy a Wii U or 3DS (which they hate, for some reason, despite them having the games that they originally wanted on their console of choice).

It's not that the discount is massive, it's that it pushes some of those games that were already pretty cheap into the impulse buy price range. Where it's cheap enough for someone to buy it without thinking about it too much.
