....but in this case Nige might forgive them if they do a good job with KZ2.

Yeah, baby, yeah.

Good to hear that the developers are not just doing half-hearted ports.

Have to agree with Vojkan. They'll need to be major reworking to get the most out of the Ps3.

Also, GoW3 will need to change its look and feel from its step up to being a next gen game - it can't be just a prettier looking GoW2.

The developers of GoW3 need to change the perspective similar to Gears of War so the player gets more involved in whole spectacle of the game.

Need we forget, exploring possible net play or multiusers. Alot to think about o...

An exclusive only matters if it can influence a person's decision to buy a console AND there are no substitutes/alternatives with the competition.

Haze is just a shooter. They're a dime a dozen. You'll find great substitutes on the XBOX 360 and Ps3.

Now here's a real exclusive worth waring about....LITTLE BIG PLANET.

Meaning it is technology that reached its peak in the ps2/xbox era.

Does that mean it's not applicable to next gen.....of course not?

Rumble is now a standard but is old gen technology.

Now, motion controllers were also avail during the OLD GEN era.
This video shows a Ps2 motion control and rumble controller available in 1999.

"One of the criticisms of Little Big Planet and the Sony virtual world Home is that the content and experience will be limited to a Sony platform."

LOL

It'll be cool if developers, companies, bands invest time and money to develop their own killer levels - EVEN IF THEY ARE PROMOTING THEMSELF. Those levels are unlikely to be CRAP as those companies or bands won't want any bad press - especially with the ranking & comments.

Again, this...

As for the tank: the driver should be able to control the main gun with a team member able to use a minigun nounted on the turrent - or throw the odd grenade here and there for anyone sneaking up to take out your tinker toy.

Oh, now that would be so good.

Those pesky warhawks. There better be Stingers to take those birds down.

Fast Battlefield or Battlefield on steroids....

Hell, yeah.

That's the only way I drive when playing F1 or Colin McCrae Rally. None of the archady perspective rubbish. The real driving experience.

It's pointless having a cheap Ps3 if there aren't any good games to play on it. But the games are coming.

The Wii fills a niche - even though it is dominating sales - due to the price and type of games buyers are using it for. Small market share doesn't mean the Ps3 is filling a niche.

The Ps3 and the Xbox 360 are true next gen consoles not the Wii. Next gens always start off expensive - due to their technology needing to last at least 5 years - with small librar...

"And if Sony starts developing similar games(eg PS Sports) and controller(s) then the Wii's tidy market share will come under serious threat."

So does that mean I'm right? Oh, thank u. You're so kind.

Unless games development dries up for it, the Wii won't be going away anytime soon. The Wii is simply cheap, more involving, fun.

There won't be any "murder" here....or should we say FLAMING here.

The Wii does fill a niche with a selection of games that maximizes the potential of their controller(s). Also, the Wii will never have the size or diverse range of games that the Ps3 will INEVITABLY have over the next 2 years. And if Sony starts developing si...

LBP will bring the masses...

R&C will please the loyal...

HS will amaze the battle hardened...

Encharted will create believers...

But Lair.....unless its gameplay is similar if not better than God of War 1 & 2 then it's going to be a yawn. A gloriously looking yawn but still a yawn.

It will be the xbox 360 I'll be waiting to be dirt cheap in two years time then this Sony-Linux fanboy will be buying and enjoying all the great x360 exclusives(Halo 3, GeOW, Forza 2 etc) also at dirt cheap prices. But I'm in no hurry to hand over my cash.

For the next couple of years, I'll just have fun with the more diverse and better quality exclusives - on the whole - on my PS3. Hurry up with God of War 3, KZ2, Motorstorm 2, LittleBigPlanet, already.

But with Blu-ray as a $200 upgrade only AND a settled case with Immersion years earlier.

* release date: Nov 2005 - no head start to the competition.

* Price: $350 - no price advantage to the competition.

* fully h/w backward compatible - can finally give my Ps2 to charity

* 6 axis rumble controller - can enjoy the full gaming experience

* Sony Linux already installed - have a PC in my living room

* Keyb...

If they had a case they would be taking all the major Linux distributions(Redhat, Suse, Ubuntu, Debian, Mandriva) to court and finally put an end to LINUX.

We know they have the money....so why don't they do it?

Or is it all just Pi$$ and wind.

Note: IBM is now selling machines with Linux. Yes, that's IBM....one of the biggest tech patent holders in the world. Are they worried about M$ scaremongering. Nope. Now that would be a court case worth wat...
