Have to admit though, certain aspects of the video remind me of the 2003 KZ trailer. If this is what a third party developer can do, it would be safe to expect more from a 1st party developer. Bring on e3 2007

but only because H1 & H2 were fun shooters and undoubtedly Halo 3 will be the same.
But I won't be buying it until I finally get an xbox 360 in a year of two. Also, I don't expect H3 to have a dramatic improvement in gameplay - due to the Halo franchise having everything right in the first place - so I'm in no rush to get it. I've been enjoying the old level here and there with Halo 2 on Legendary. It will do for now....as well as Mercenaries.

The results so far aren't too bad for an 8 month old machine.
Just imagine the games we are going to get in 2 years time. Stunning would be an understatement.
Why many ports to the PS3 have been poor...and why articles comparing the same game on the xbox 360 and ps3 are for idiots.
If the developers aren't willing to put in the time and effort then you're going to get crappy results. Thankfully, Oblivion was an exception to the rule.
But as they gain more experience and the tools and/or start off developing the games from the Ps3, we're going to get some awesome results.
The probems with KZ was obvious - graphic glitches, repetitive play, poor physics and questionable AI.
It's not like the developers don't know about them and won't be fixing them....because they clearly will. With the fiasco of e3 2005 CG trailer and recently the positive intel from Beta Testing of Warhawk will get SCE heads to push GG to produce a truly AAA game.
Yeah, release will likely be 2008. What a year that is going to be for the Ps3.
If you have both consoles - you'll buy both games.
If you have only one console - you'll only buy one game.
NO COMPETITION.....AT ALL.
Haze on the otherhand is competion as it is multiplatform.
The PSP and Ps3 need to have much greater connectivity and functionality.
Essentially, the PSP needs to ALSO function as a Ps3 controller and portable display - in short being able to use/play the Ps3 entirely from the PSP if you wanted to.
Just think about this for a PSP2:
- has six-axis and rumble function
- has touch screen that brings up a screen keyboard(like the iPhone)
- can be used as a controller for the Ps3
- can be u...

if you are able to think logically, rationally, reasonably and intelligently...
if you know which technology has greater potential...
if you have an open mind...
if you are NOT hung up with the here and now....
if you have forsight....
then there is going to be one clear winner. If you are a consumer and have all the above, you will make the right choice and back the format that will inevitably win. Such a consumer...
....but so too will having a hard copy.
Personally, I'd prefer to buy a swanky disk off the shelf than rely on lengthy downloads of bits and bytes onto my hard drive. There's a place for downloads but not for your prize games, shows and movies.
Just love my little library of games next to my entertainment system.
At least the future PsP2....
The PSP2 should double as a Ps3 controller and have motion control and rumble. It should allow you to use your Ps3 entirely from the PSP - portability within the home.
It'll be awesome playing Warhawk in the comfort of your lounge with the HD TV & using the PsP2 as the controller then being able to take the game outside in the garden enjoying the rays - with no stoppage in play using the psp as the monitor as well. Again, awesome....

Unless gameplay is akin to God of War 2 - including the odd giant troll here and there - and improved enemy AI, Lair is going to be a disappointment.
None of the footage I've seen so far has impressed me - very repetitive and somewhat boring. Lair very much reminds me of your typical fanboy war.....just a whole lot of FLAMMING and no real substance.
Bring on Warhawk, LBP, HS, R&C and Uncharted. These little beauties won't disappoint.
Yes, it also has the great graphics, physics, user-created content etc,
But LBP has gone back-to-basics - simple, innocent fun. In an industry where there are so many games involving destruction or mayhem, LBP is a welcome respite.

It doesn't matter when KZ2 is released. So long as they get everything right: AI, gameplay, net play, graphics & sound/music, physics.
Most buyers of H3 will be fans of the franchise and already have an xbox 360. My guess is there won't be a significant increase in sales either, after H3 is released. The graphics and actions are deliberately cartoony and exaggerated in the same manner as Team Fortress 2 - which is also going to roll with HL2.
