Just spent the last 30min reading COD Ghosts and BF4 reviews.
I'd say 90% make reference to the PS4 version looking and performing better.
The other 10% say in a round a bout way that both look good but one performs/looks better. They just don't mention which. Like we dont know lol.
Time to just accept there is going to be a more powerful console this gen.
I'm hoping for a killer SP story this time round. Gameplay wise the SP is shaping up nicely!
MP looks the goods so far. What's the story with split screen? My mates and I always like 2v2 (4 players, two per console, 2 tv's, local lan).
This is how we always rock Halo, COD, KZ2 ect. 4 mates, beers, pizza. Way better than going online IMO. Trash talk FTW lol
Farcry 3 was a repetitive POS. Get past the flashy graphics and it got old real quick.
Bioshock on the other hand. Gold!
Got to admt though. I really enjoyed KZ2 MP. Was a lot of fun. KZ3 was a bit hit and miss for me. I actually had heaps more fun with the MP free beta than I did with the retail version lol.
Lol ewwww :-)
Judging by the quality of the rest of the game. I'd say a lot longer lol.
Seriously though, I've never really heard anyone mention loading times in reviews so they can't be woeful? Good question.

Plus current 4k monitors have a woeful refresh rate. Usually 30fps max. No where near enough for competitive multilayer.
I'm currently sitting in front of 3x1080p monitors that I have played BF3 on for the last 12 months or so.
After a few minutes your brain ignores the joins/breaks in the image. Seriously I don't even notice when I'm "in the zone" so to speak. And the extra resolution is awesome for picking out distant movement. I rock...
I decided to use my last bubble to iterate this point. Particularly in response to Xbox1 lads who keep on about this whole "Media Hub/Ultimate Entertainment Box" thing.
There are many amongst us who have ZERO interest in media integration. Who's main reason for buying a next gen console is, wait for it, to play next gen games.
All these new features that M$ are making out to be ground breaking integration. This whole "Ultimate Entertainment...
@denawayne.
That is my whole point. I have no desire for my console to integrate and of those features. Non whatsoever!
My HTPC does all those things. Has done for years. And does so without any of the gimmicky voice/motion control crap.
I want a next gen console for one reason. Next gen games. Nothing more.
I'm buying my PS4 to play games. Surprise surprise! I could give a rats ass for the other features. Seriously. I turn on my PS3 to play a game. Otherwise its off. All my other media demands are covered by either my PC, HTPC, laptop, or my TV lol.
PS4 will be the same. Wanna play a game, PS4 on. Wanna watch TV, watch a movie, surf the net, skype, whatever, PS4 in standby.
Everything but competitive online multiplayer should rock with remote play. Can't wait to curl up in bed with a Vita on a cold morning and still be able to enjoy PS4 awesomeness.
Can see this causing some arguments with the Missus though lol!
I think you will find that the Xbox1 version gives the "illusion" of a sharper/less blured image due to effects like Depth of Field being absent. Not only that but I noticed a complete lack of volumetric fog effects on thr xbox1 version too.
Pop in and frame rate drops are rampant in the Xbox1 version though.
Wow. That looks like crap! Seriously!
Repetition central. Pass!
Interesting. If the input lag is indeed so poor on the Panasonic plasmas it will have to reside in the lounge. And I'll have to look into another Sony to replace the HX800. It's been a brilliant TV for gaming. But sadly far to small for my current games room.
Thanks for the heads up mate.
Dude! Plasmas rock for gaming. Awesome PQ, blistering fast response time, virtually zero input lag, very well priced?! What's not to like?
I currently game on an 40" SONY HX800, but plan on upgrading to a 65" Panasonic plasma before the end of the year, before stock runs out on the last of their plasma range.
Dude! Why the hate?
Diablo III is awesome. If you liked the first two then you will adore this. It is very far from a casual game, requiring dedication and a lot of grinding if you want to attempt it some of the harder difficulties.
If on the other hand you are not into the Diablo games then fair enough. Doesn't it's not a well made and entertaining experience for those who are.
Voice commands come standard on both systems launch day. The ps4 only requires the included headset. Camera not required!
You don't need the camera for voice commands on the ps4. Just the headset included in the box when you buy it :-)
Thats funny because I'd heard that both versions suffer from similar issues. With the PS4 version running at a better resolution and maintaining a more consistent frame rate.
More than one source has stated that the Xbox1, ps4 and PC versions all suffer frame rate issues and are very poorly optimized. Hopefully a future patch will address these issues.
But to say the Xbox1 versions maintains a better frame rate than the PS4 version is not necessarily tr...
