BF4 looks amazing on PS4. Sure a good gaming rig will run it better. But for $400 worth of hardware I think the PS4 version is impressive.
And trust me you can be just as deadly with a game pad. The DS4 also helps with this. I still prefer a mouse and keyboard but the DS4 is a joy to use.
Makes sense. The whole reason I got a larger (higher resolution) monitor on my PC was better long range visibility in BF3.
Jumping up from 1080p to 1440p made a huge difference to how easy it was to pick up on enemy movement at extreme range. And it did reflect on my improved MP scores after the change.
As gorgeous as BF4 looks on PS4, I am still thinking of upgrading my PC to run it at 1440p or higher.

Of cause they will "unlock" extra performance from xbox 1 hardware. Like they will with the PS4 or Wii U or any hardware as they become more familiar with it!!

The awesome news for me is that it (from reports) is as fun to play as it is pretty.
I mean there is no debating that it's gorgeous to behold, but that sucker punch are putting just as much effort in to the game play deserves applause.
If only other recent releases had game play on par with the flashy visuals.

I have a SONY TV and SONY amp. If I push the power button on the PS3 or the PS button on the controler it automatically turns on both the TV and the amp and even switches both to the right channel.
Hope the PS4 retains this feature?

Honestly I think M$ have tried to do too much with the Xbox1. It has a lot of features, but non of them seem to be properly implemented or refined.
Add to that the half baked gaming hardware that is weak and a complete PITA to program for and your left with an expensive gimmick.
Yea all good till you realize whatever you plug in will no longer out put in surround sound! Only stereo output supported! Xbox1 does not support HDMI pass through of surround sound!
Not sure. I though optical still supported linear PCM which is still the highest bit rate audio codec?

Huge oversight by M$. This will be a huge issue for many people. Fingers crossed they can address this with a patch and its not a hardware limitation!
I was happily surprised how well the voice recognition works on the PS4 is almost never miss interprets a phrase and I've only had to repeat myself once or twice.
It's super handy for hands free navigation of the UI add to this the android app for a handy keyboard and controller and I don't even touch the DS4 unless I am actually playing a game.
Great in you just popped a DVD or BD in to the drive. Just tell the PS4 to play the disk ad off you go....
