Seriously, this is huge. A lot of 360 fanboys were just holding out for this game to be released before they secretly bought a PS3. Now, we save $500 and never have to deal with the PS3's crappy controller...ever.

You're right. People were mad at Sony because they were less than up front about their price drop just being a clearance sale and waited a couple weeks to inform everyone of their plans in order to sell more of the 60gb console. Essentially ripping people off.

if you want to download a ton of media and games and store it then you may want to hold out for a 60gb or 120gb. 120 gb is almost excessive on a X360 because games don't ever require installs.
otherwise, the $300 20gb is a pretty good deal. you have enough space to download demos and media when you want.

This price drop is huge for the 360. There is now a $100 difference between the most popular PS3 and the most popular Xbox 360. How did the PS2 win the console war? Was it more powerful than the Xbox? No. Could it's online service even compare to the Xbox live? No. Did it have more highly ranked games? Yes. Was is cheaper than the Xbox? Yes.

PSN may catch up but I wouldn't count on it. Microsoft are the masters of user friendly, functional operating systems. while PSN tries to catch up with xbox live, microsoft is working on things like voice chat rooms and other features.
I would argue that if PSN ever catches up with Xbox live then Sony will start charging money for it.
sony's console numbers are inflated because they are losing hundreds of dollars on each console while Microsoft and Nintendo are making a profit on each console they sell. what is stopping Microsoft from taking a similiar loss and cutting the price of their arcade model to $99 and putting a console in every living room?

except for the shiny graphics gt5: prologue is very last gen. a glitchy game with bad physics and no car damage. Forza 2 is much better than GT5: prologue. And at this rate forza 3 should be out before gt5 comes out.
