Simply put: a lot
Gaming journalism at it's finest, folks.
Such a hidden gem of a game. Media Molecule always seems to get the most creative with Sony's hardware.
No way in hell they're gonna immediately slice $100 off. $50 is possible. Gotta figure they're probably gonna respond to whatever Microsoft does. The public has already proven with their wallets that they'll still buy PS4s even if they are a little more expensive. When Microsoft comes down to $300, Sony will drop to $350 and so on and so forth.
Who knows; Sony ditched the PS camera last-minute at E3 2013. There are nine hours between their respective conferences....
Oh no. AussieGamer is all out of bubbles. I'm sure the rest of you are as devastated as I am about that.
@SwankSinatra you don't wanna play a game as Godzilla? Have you seen any of it? It looks insane. I'm not even a Godzilla fan, but who doesn't wanna fight against other giant monsters as him and destroy a city in the process??? It's like Rampage on steroids.
And, yes, Sony pretty much can win E3 if they cap what will surely be a great co...
I'm expecting a great E3 in general and especially from Sony. Most of their first-parties are working on announced games; I imagine we'll see some of those. We're also supposedly getting a release date for No Man's Sky. If Sony is smart, they'll drop it around the holidays to kill some of the Halo hype. That Godzilla game is slated for July, so maybe they'll premier the gameplay? Also set to release on the same day is GOW3 HD; wouldn't be surprised to see that and ...
I'm not claiming to know; I'm hypothesizing. Is it really that farfetched to say such a game may not appeal to the general core of the Xbox audience? I don't think so.
Look at Sunset Overdrive. Great game that flopped in sales because Insomniac only put it on Xbox for whatever puzzling reason. Likely because Microsoft chucked a large chunk of change at them; same thing they probably did for Scalebound and definitely for Tomb Raider and lord knows who else they'...
Also potentially new IPs from:
Guerilla
Sucker Punch (could likely be another Infamous instead)
Media Molecule
Quantic Dream
Sony Bend
Studio Japan
Santa Monica (could likely be another God of War instead)
PixelOpus
Cambridge
And, who knows, maybe even Naughty Dog has another new game in the works. Can't ever really count them out, even with U4 being made.
Either way, it'...
I have to wonder if we'll eventually see Scalebound cross platforms considering it probably won't sell overly well on X1. I mean, a title like that from a Japanese company only for Microsoft's console? Surely they're just trying to add some diversity, but I can't imagine it flying off the shelves. I suppose the potential for it to become multiplatform depends on how much money MS threw at Platinum.
If Bend's new game is a sequel to TLOU, I'm not sure how I'd feel about that. Not that they wouldn't do a good job, but pawning off one of the best games ever made by one of the best studios ever to a different studio? Idk about that one.
And as far as The Last Guardian goes, it would just be icing on the cake. Sony is going to have a plethora of new IPs from the likes of Guerilla, Bend, Sucker Punch, Media Molecule, Quantic Dream (though they'll likely be...
Very excited for this year's show. Sony's lineup is shrouded in mystery and that's awesome. I think Microsoft will have a strong showing, but it will likely mostly feature games we already know about (Halo/Fable/Forza, Gears, more info on Scalebound, Crackdown, Quantum Break, etc). I'm sure they will have a new IP or two, but it's looking like virtually all of Sony's presser is going to be new games and that is very exciting.
You're comparing No Man's Sky to Elite Dangerous? Fail. Idk what kind of pizza you like, but I don't think it's helping your brain cell count. And knock Sony all you want for buying marketing deals and/or trying to buy studios; Microsoft are the ones throwing cash at third party devs to land bs deals like Tomb Raider. Lord forbid they actually try to make a first-party new IP, but no; they'd rather pump Halo and Forza down your throat every year.
Microsoft...
Two things that continue to baffle me:
1. People who think Sony is just idlely sitting on their hands. All of their big first party studios are making AAA games.
2. People who think, just because Microsoft has a solid holiday lineup, that it gives them a free pass for the rest of the year.
What about the other 9-10 months of the year?
I just don't get it.
To anyone who thinks Sony is skipping this because they "don't have games to show", you're obviously unaware that Media Molecule, Sucker Punch, Sony Bend, Guerilla, Santa Monica, Quantic Dream, and many others are currently making games for PS4. If they had enough content to do E3, Gamescom, Tokyo Games Show, and then turn around and also do their very own conference in the form of Playstation Experience last year, they're going to have even more this year considering we...
I'm going to respond to your idiotic personal message to me here so all of N4G can witness me embarrass you, and what better post to do it on than in one where you make yet another ignorant, blind, biased, fanboy comment.
And speaking of you being a fanboy, my god do you take the cake my friend. Preference is one thing. I prefer Playstation. Preferring Xbox is fine, but the blind loyalty you express to Microsoft is truly unbelievable. In your response to me, rather than e...
Megatons? What megatons? E3 hasn't happened yet. And even then I wouldn't hold your breath. Surely you're not refereeing to Microsoft's "blockbuster" holiday lineup featuring the same three games they've been pumping out for over a decade now? Or maybe you are because you're clearly delusional.
Big titles for Sony in 2015:
The Order
Bloodborne
MLB 15
Until Dawn
No Man's Sky
Everybody's G...
"Ori destroys it" man you're fun to follow around. Ori is great, but it "destroys" Bloodborne? Seriously? You have to be trolling.
"MS owns this year" says the dude with a Gears avatar. Shocking.
Yeah bro MS totally owns this year with all of the AAA titles they've dropped so far and with their holiday lineup comprised of their usual regurgitation of Halo, Fable, and Forza.
You're so right.
I'll never understand the holiday emphasis from fans. Microsoft has released virtually nothing so far this year and will continue not to do so until the holidays, and yet people point to their holiday lineup as if it automatically overrides and trumps the competition. Why? Since Microsoft is more concerned about your wallet instead of releasing quality exclusives throughout the year, their lineup is somehow better solely because of when they are choosing to release their games? That logic...
I wonder if this writer likes cheese with his/her whine.
