@Nick that's cool, but those types of games aren't necessarily going to attract buyers who didn't already plan on eventually getting an X1 in the first place.

@Andy again, rebooting IPs is great if you're a fan, but system sellers they are not. Ori is a great start for MS to start competing with Sony on the indie front, but they still have a long way to go. And Scalebound could very likely end up coming to PS4 considering it's a 3rd party game, especially ...

What Microsoft needs are new IPs. Unannounced new IPs, at that. Quantum Break and Sunset Overdrive look great, but we already know about those games. What else do they have? They best have something because you know Sony is likely showing new IPs from Media Molecule, Guerilla, and possibly even Santa Monica.

Great! Pach is back to predict all kinds of ways he thinks people will actually start buying Xbones because he's an American businessman and like them 'Merican gamin' products!

Everything I say is garbage? lol your rambling is barely comprehensible. You are correct in saying Xbox 360 has a better GPU, but that's about it. I think it was the CPU where PS3 had an insurmountable edge. And you're saying both the original Xbox and Gamecube were three times as powerful as the PS2? Xbox had a little more power under the hood, I know that much; but it and Gamecube three times as much? You're high. Maybe you're thinking of the PROVEN FACT that PS3 is three ti...

Nope, nope, and nope. I've said it before and I'll say it again: PS3 caught up because of its superior specs and the exclusive games specifically designed by Sony's first-party studios all over the world to take advantage of its better hardware. Sure, MS is finally making a bigger push for games; but you know Sony's studios are gonna bring it. Just look at their 2015 lineup. And if something like the Halo Collection is enough to get you to buy an X1, you probably already plann...

It's bad enough that they crank out an AssCreed every year. Now this. It always kinda baffles me when sequels are talked about so soon after the release of a game. Even worse was when people were talking about a Titanfall 2 BEFORE the first one was even out yet...

This is the business aspect of the industry, I guess. Ubisoft even came out and said they're not interested in making games that won't become franchises. It's just kind of ironic that these games the...

The Xbox brand has never profited or won a console generation war in nearly 15 years, so, if they haven't thrown in the towel yet, why would they now? Apparently, Microsoft can afford it and wants to stay in the war. You gotta figure if Sony can make and support the PS4 given how bad their financial situation is, there's no reason MS can't.

I'm not a fan of the few franchises Microsoft has brought us and I don't really like how they conduct their business ...

Some of these reasons are decent, but I can give you the main two right now:

Hardware
Exclusives

Last gen, PS3 ultimately ended up outselling Xbox 360 globally despite a bad launch. How did it do this? Because it's a more powerful machine than the 360 and Sony's studios were eventually able to take advantage of the PS3's superior capabilities. You may be a fan of the few first-party franchises Microsoft does have, but you simply cannot tel...

Can't afford triple-A? Uncharted 4, The Order, Killzone, Infamous, and Bloodborne all say hello. And that's not even to mention all the unannounced IPs Sony has, at least several of which will be AAA. You can go back under your bridge now.

Edit: and could you possibly be any more hypocritical? You accuse PS4 users of being more concerned about Xbox sales than Xbox users, yet one look at your comments history shows the majority of them to be you commenting on PS4-rela...

No one can know for sure, but this isn't a completely insane prediction by any means. Think about it: the bulk of Sony's best games aren't even hitting until 2015. And you have to figure the new IPs from Media Molecule, Sony Bend, Guerilla, Quantic Dream, Santa Monica, etc. will drop sometime in 2016; late 2015 if we're lucky. That being said, if MS can't gain ground on Sony now when the PS4's lineup of games is likely as weak as it will possibly ever be, they may neve...

For the love of whatever eternal being you believe in, people, give it a little time. Games take time to develop. Years. Sony in particular supported the PS3 right up to the launch of the PS4. Some of Sony's biggest games didn't release until mere months before the PS4 dropped. The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, God of War: Ascension (yes, I know many would say GOW3 is better and I would agree, I'm just getting at the fact that it was just as big a task as 3 if not more) to name a...

Maybe it's because Sony had already been in the game for six years and locked up a lot of talent before Microsoft had the chance. You'd think MS could easily establish more studios with all the money they have, but they just don't seem to do it. All the studios you listed are by no means bad ones, but they're certainly one-trick ponies. 343 will probably never make anything besides Halo again, at least not while they're owned by MS. Turn 10 makes Forza, Lionhead makes Fabl...

Also, Microsoft only have themselves to blame for losing Bungie. I'd venture to say that MS didn't give them much creative freedom and instead had them continue making Halo games because it's their cash cow. If they had let Bungie do what they want, Destiny could have been an Xbox exclusive.

There was an article on here recently stating that Sony actually loses money on most games because they let their studios do what they want...which seemingly isn't a good ...

"For gamers, Bungie’s new era broadens its scope, and for the greater industry therein lies a formidable appeal to Xbox and PlayStation gamers alike: Destiny is, in some sort of twisted, tragic way, this Xbox fanboy’s way of saying to PlayStation fans, 'This is what you’ve been missing out on for the past decade!'"

Ehhh idk man, I've played Halo and I'm currently playing the Destiny beta and I'd confidently say Destiny easily tops Halo. Granted, ...

It makes me chuckle that people still make a big deal about this. It's obviously nothing to be taken lightly, but I really don't think many people lost much. When I see people like "BUT OMG UR CREDIT CARD BRO" I'm just like "you do know it's not hard to monitor your card info online, right?" If I had seen suspicious activity on my account at the time, I'd have called my bank and taken care of it. Annoying? Sure. The end of the world? Hardly.
