Sony came out swinging and then let their foot off the gas. I have no problem with them talking about PS Now, PSTV, and Project Morpheus (especially because those are features Microsoft doesn't have), but bringing out the director of that Powers show at your E3 conference?? That part needed to be cut.

Microsoft had a solid show, but I don't think it was as good as many people seem to think. Just because they finally did what you're supposed to do at E3 (y'know...

Solid conference, but nothing groundbreaking. Idk about you guys, but I just want new IPs. Microsoft's usual dose of Halo, Fable, and Forza was unsurprisingly strong, which is fine for those who are fans. Games like Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break are what we want, though. And Scalebound looks like a great new IP, but third-party exclusives tend not to stay exclusive so I'm not exactly rushing out to buy one just yet. The good thing is: Microsoft is on the right track. I mean, at l...

Not particularly surprising. Microsoft hasn't released any notable exclusives since Titanfall which was back in March.

Sony caught up to Microsoft and ultimately passed them in terms of worldwide sales during last gen for two main reasons:

1. Better hardware
2. Exclusive games

If Microsoft is going to catch up during this current gen, it's going to be due to the cloud and DX12. And that's even if those two things are what they're hyping them up to be. Given MS' track record of overhyping things (looking at you, Titanfall), I wouldn't hold your brea...

Forza 2K14

Psh whatever bro, everyone knows Microsoft's revolving lineup of Halo, Gears, Fable, and Forza is unmatchable!

What's that, you say? Sony has AAA first-party studios all over the world? Who cares; all those games suck!

All you need in America is guns with chainsaws and a racing sim!

People still think Xbox has more quality exclusives to pick from?

Seriously?

Ignorance is bliss, I guess.

Microsoft is claiming and claiming away about the cloud while Sony is actually using it in the form of Playstation Now...

Lol Warhawk and M.A.G. were not hyped up nearly as much as Titanfall. Warhawk and Starhawk are two of the best online experiences I've personally ever had. M.A.G. was great in theory; not so much in execution. Like I said: Titanfall isn't bad and I do think it's fun, but it's not the revolutionary experience Microsoft told us it was. These are all obviously my opinions, too, so bear that in mind.

Titanfall is by no means a bad game, but I think many agree that it did not live up to the hype and was rushed out. Oh and $60 for an online game with little to no story? C'mon.

I'm supposed to buy into Microsoft's claim that an online-only FPS that runs in 792p is the "ultimate next-gen experience"? Meh.

Hopefully Titanfall 2 gets more time in the developmental incubator and isn't rushed out to save Microsoft's sales.

Lol "way too many bombs to overcome"?

You mean all those Halo reboots? Yeah I'm sure Sony is shaking in their boots.

Seriously, does no one understand how many quality studios Sony has scattered across the world or do people who aren't fans of their games just choose to ignore them?

Similar topics were mentioned earlier in the thread and it seems to be a common misconception. It'd be like claiming PSN offered superior multiplayer last gen. Having preferences is fine and, quite frankly, pretty natural. It is possible to prefer one platform over the other and not just regurgitate opinions, though.

lol Xbox One had a DECENT launch lineup and Xbox fans flock from all over to talk about how much better Microsoft's first-party studios are. Gimme a break.

I know the attached image is from last-gen, but the point here is a matter of quality studios. That's all fine and dandy if you like franchises like Halo, Gears, etc. enough to buy the console that enables you to play them, but don't sit here and tell me Microsoft has a more qualitative family of first-party s...

I wish I could agree to this infinite times lol. So many people think Sony needs to respond to Microsoft's price cut. Why? From a business standpoint, there is zero reason for them to sacrifice (presumably) $50 per unit. In the grand scheme of things, that'd be a lot of money lost for no reason. PS4 is selling just fine and the bulk of Sony's exclusives are yet to even come. Infamous is only the tip of the AAA exclusive iceberg.

I hate to break it to my Xbox-gaming step-brethren, but the days of Xbox Live's superiority are over. Even comparing last gen, while Live was a little more solid, the mere fact that PSN is free on PS3 makes that a debate in itself.

Now that Sony has Plus running on all cylinders and VASTLY improved the sociability and user interface of the PS4, anyone saying Live is still better is simply in denial.

Microsoft can stroke their "300,000 servers" b...

And Sony's leaked E3 lineup is waving right back at you lol. You're kidding yourself pretty hard if you think Microsoft has more quality first-party studios.

Gonna get dislikes for this buuuut, whatever. I just find it ironic that X1's most creative and unique upcoming title is by a studio that made Playstation exclusives for nearly 20 years. It just goes to show how absent Microsoft's first-party studios are. But, hey, landing a deal with Insomniac is a good start.
