Dude i played the PC beta and it looks wonderful everything turned up, really gorgeous. I was rubbing my eyes too when i saw this video, this has to be the console version, and its not even close to the PC one. I mean the gap is just huuuugggeeeee
All through the beta the handling model was being fiddled and tweaked with direct feedback from the community it did improve a fair bit. The beta ended about three weeks ago and the game has obviously gone gold now.
If it is set the same as the final model in the beta i think most people will be satisfied, the cars certainly feel a lot better than the first. You can actually feel grip this time round, something almost entirely lacking in the first.
Its faster than Wii, easily LOL its quite difficult to comprehend that this will be considerably more powerful than a current home console system but it is by some way.
Price wise everyone should realise that this should not be more expensive than 3DS...Also if it launches with a 28nm chipset then its battery life will be significantly better than 3DS.
Worst screenshot comparison i have seen. Terrible quality screenshots, huge compression and nasty pixellated sources. They have managed to make good looking games look fuu.uu..ugly.

This is what Crysis really looks like...
My Crysis PC shots running on all medium settings:

Looks about as good as i would expect. Around about a mix of mostly medium/some low settings compared to the original Crysis. It has some sort of temporal AA again, possibly a bit like the frame blending as seen in Halo Reach. Its not as good as the MSAA you will see on PC but its better than Reach's implementation in my opinion.
It not the best looking console game for me, Uncharted 2 and the upcoming Killzone 3 shouldnt be sweating too much, but its fairly high up the...
Fully equipped? Yes, generally a computer needs its components to function..
A single 8800GT and a dual core outperforms consoles and it would still for this on PC. 8800GT is considered low end, pretty much every single ATX desktop machine now sold has at least a dual core CPU. That sort of setup ran Crysis on mostly high 1280 x 1024 three years ago. Haven't seen a console game that looks better than Crysis on just high, one below maximum. Wont do either until the next...
Loved this game on N64. Still runs a fair bit in Project64 on my PC too with a bunch of visual mods.
Maybe i am the only one here but i thought it would look considerably better than it does versus the original TBH....N64 hardware is nigh on 15 years old, it had a 62mhz GPU with 4 megabytes of RAM. Every half decent smartphone on the market is immensely more capable technically than N64.
Dont get me wrong it does look better and the visuals aren't all...
Doesn't bother me if the consoles get a version as long as it does not negatively affect the PC version. If it can improve the PC version then all the better- however the proof of the pudding is in the eating not the baking. If the game sucks inevitably PC gamers will and probably should point the finger at the consoles...
Anyways, I'll play it on PC. You would be stupid not to if you could, because it'll look so much better it'll practically feel like a dif...
Clearly Crytek have made it very obvious where they see the future of crysis, where they see the money and the market and its cracking the 360 shooter crowd in the states. Not PS3, not PC.
I fear for Xcom. Looks like a transplanted bioshock. That is not Xcom.
Would have bought it on PC. Plenty of Remedy fans still on the platform, most likely still more than on console.
There was a lot of uproar in the community when it was announced the PC version was canned, i think a lot of people felt betrayed and just didnt bother to buy it on 360 either after that.
Alan wake's engine was impressive when it was shown. SIX years ago....Today it is dated, and the fact that 360 cant keep it vsynced and sustain 30 frames a second with high resolution textures, anisotropic filtering etc @ a mere 960 x 544 should tell you enough about how inadequate 360 is at exploiting the full potential. If ever a game should have been on PC, A.W is it.
960 x 544 pixels for goodness sake...the iphone 4 has a better resolution! Yes, full screen iphone 4...
So you think the consoles cant do the scope and size, draw distance, polygon count or texture resolution of Crysis? Well yeah, add to that they cant do the DirectX10 shading effects or the same quality of HDR and anti aliasing etc etc...
In other words, the consoles cant touch it. Thought so lol
Uncharted 2 is one of the best if not the best looking console game but even the figures bandied about by naughty dog pale against three year old crysis. 1.2 mill...
Real world, practical maximum speed of USB2.0 is only about 40mb/s. USB2.0 as a standard is over 10 years old! The average sort of performance you are likely to get over it is 35mb/s, engineers probably would not count on having any more than this at one given moment.
Most of these USB flash drives have already hit that ceiling in read speed, so as you have noticed no doubt, a lot of them are labelled USB3.0 because they can deliver superior performance over the newer stand...
I dont know how much bandwidth USB is on offer on 360 exactly however we do know it is supposedly USB2.0. Theoretically on a USB2.0 PC if you use them all up then they will slow down sharing the bus but generally most people dont need to have a load of hard drives connected like that at once via USB, generally the quality of such a bus on a PC would be better and faster anyway I.e components, controller.
However, the article claims microsoft have capped the bandwidth for ki...
Crysis has pretty good texture work..but its not all pristine. However most of it like the ground and building textures are fantastic. Warhead sacrifices a little bit of this to improve performance. Still cant take away the fact nothing on console will touch either maxed

''The Kinect camera is quite a high res camera, so we actually asked that we have access to the higher res picture. But they can't give the full resolution picture, at the full frame-rate, because of the USB 2.0 connection. It's just the technicalities of the Xbox''
Most new computers are shiftin...
Arguably it cant do a lot of this on 360 because of it's USB controller bandwidth limitation http://www.eurogamer.net/ar... That won't stop it on PC or on a next gen microsoft machine. It also has no games on Pc yet that exploit it anyway, just rather gimmicky hacks. These reasons are why i'll not buy one until it has real practical use and impressive games.

That just triggered a CIA alert. You are now on the suspect watch list :-)
