Paid DLC... For a remaster.

This is why you don't buy Activision products.

Dragon's Dogma.

Not really. If you're looking for story imvestment, you're in the wrong place. The game is entirely reliant on it's combat system and (to a lesser extent) character customization to be fun. Everything else is either total garbage, or not in the game at all.

If you do play, do yourslef a favor, don't use any sort of items in combat. It breaks the whole game if you do because the inventory system is stupid.

I like the combat for the first couple hours. Then I figured out that I can win every fight by dodging 2 or 3 attacks, using her arm power to murder everything (thus gaining the SP back), re-entering the arm power mode and repeating until everything was dead.

Except after like the first hour of the game she has like no development till like the very end. Being "badass" in a story focused game is only going to get you so far.

That explains the panic about D&D and Pokemon being demonic.

Or, outrage culture has always been a big thing in the US but now it's fueled by social media. It's the same moral panick thing that's been going on in the US for a very long time.

Yes. Welcome to Orwell's future, where you publicly say offensive things and a company you would be representing finds about it and decides they don't want someone who would say that kind of thing representng them.

Or maybe, it's just a company being concerned with their image and the people who represent them. A right to free speech doesn't include a right to say whatever you want with 0 consequences.

You can ask "well it was 4 yea...

Super repetitive combat (I know it has depth, but it's so easy to simply overpower everything that it may as well not be there,) empty environments and really boring protagonists?

I mean, it's better than Symphonia but that's a really low bar.

And where is it that the game boy color was developed? Do you think it and all it's games were developed exclusively by people in texas?

No, actually. If we exclude the MMOs, FF sales have been on a downward trend since FF10 (technically since FF7, but considering FF7s really high sales it's more of an outlier.) This trend didn't stop untill FF15, and if you read reviews of 15 they almost universally say the story is half missing or outright bad and the game is carried by the gameplay and characters, which means it got mass appeal not for being a good FF game, but for being (yet another) open world action game.

As I said, it ends in 3 hours as of the time I posted. It will not go up by any significant amount. You deliberately misrepresented the price you can get a 970 for by linking only to buy it nows, the most expensive way to get the card short of trying to buy it new.

In fact it can be. Again, all you need is someone else who has a copy (hint, everyone) who will give you the disk or create a bootable drive. If you're really that worried, linux is often free by default. ...

When you buy a windows disk, you own a windows disk, it's not illegal to sell it or give it away (though it is against the EULA, nobody really cares.)

Lying to people by having the buy it now options being the only ones shown is incredibly dishonest and reveals you're just a fanboy not actually interested in the truth. This one, which ends in 3 hours as of this post, is 137. So Try again.

Windows 10 is free, you just have to deal with a watermark, and you can get windows 10 keys off ebay for like 8 bucks. You can also just use a friends windows disk or go check forums/craigslist for people who trade them so people can avoid that cost.

And yeah. 1080p, max settings, 450 USD. You can get a GTX 970 off ebay for 120 bucks, and it will max out basically everything at 1080p. https://pcpartpicker.com/li...<...

Yeah, the minimum requirements for modern AAA games, even super demanding ones like WatchDogs 2, is a GTX 660. That is a 5 year old card. So there is no headache for updating cards.

Also, basically the only drivers you need to update are video card drivers, and there is no reason you need the newest drivers at all times. It's been months since I updated mine, because I haven't bought any newly released AAA games that would benefit from the new drivers. If you do ne...

You doubt. As in, you don'\t know. Do you know why you don't know? Because you can't know. That's the point.

I'll happily admit it probably won't be broken. That doesn't mean it won'tt be, and because there is no benefit to pre-ordering there is no reason not to wait and buy it once other people have checked if it's broken for you.

It also overestimates the price. 1080p/60 at max (or near max) settings and 4k/30 at some combination of high and medium can be achieved in most modern AAA games for ~550 USD. If you're willing to buy used parts you can easily bring it down to ~450 USD. I have no idea where they're getting the extra 100 bucks from.

Consoles aren't plug and play though. The constant firmware updates and manual game installs (which, might I add, take significantly longer than PCs) will leave you sitting there for hours unable to "plug and play."

Also, Valve and GOG both have clients that will auto download and auto install games, as well as automatically fix most of the reasons why a game would break (a missing or corrupted file.)

Yeah, there are still fewer things that ...

Or, or, the actually reasonable people could wait until the game is actually out to judge it's quality instead of falling for marketing hype from a company with a 50 million dollar reason to lie to you.

@ Moldybread

You seem to have thought that was a slight. It's just a fact. All current PS4s and all current Xbox Ones (including the X) use a the Jaguar CPU. The Jaguar CPU is, quite literally, a modified version of a laptop CPU from 2013.

If you like a game, that you've never played and so have no actual way to know if you'll like, you buy it. Brilliant.
