Different company.
Humble Bundle got bought by some company in 2017, and at present has nothing to do with the people who are suing Valve.
Their only current relation is that the people who founded started the charity which eventually became it's own company *used* to be the people who ran it before it seperated out into it's own company.
That is not how antitrust works.
You can have competing stores or services and still be an effective monopoly and/or be engaging in anti-competitive practices that break anti-trust laws.
I would like you to point to me, where I said the word innovation. I'm simply pointing out the facts. The tech already existed. There was no great technological breakthrough on the part of Nintendo for the analogue stick. They made it cheaper. That's litterally all they did.
It can't be held up as some great console first tech thing, when it's a reconfiguration of a thing that already existed on PC. It's wrong.
It's...well it's like claiming Tesl...
Yall do know google exists right? Proper modern fully electric cars have existed since the 90s (they were not successful) and hybrids (whcich can and do operate in fully electric mode albiet with fairly limited range) have been a thing for a while. Tesla didn't invent that.Tesla didn't invent or improve the battery tech either. The popularized electric cars yes. They didn't invent. And in fact Tesla is *not* the cutting edge of electric cars. For the same reason consoles are not t...
So, I wanna go over this because it's a special kind of wrong.
The current best selling consoles are still the PS4 (base) the Xbone (base) and the Switch. Of those, the PS4 is the most powerful. Do you know the PC GPU equivilant to what it has in it? As the most powerul of those consoles? An AMD R7 260x.
According to the Steam Hardware Survey (the largest database of what PC hardware people are actually using on the planet) 60 to 70% of PC owners with Steam i...
So, uh, analoge sticks already existed. They were called joysticks. They were mostly used for flight simulators and the like. All nintendo did was make it small.
Also, the switch is basically just a tablet with some controllers on the side. It's a fine system but it's *far* from the leading edge of any video-game relevant tech.
It's just a fundamental part of consoles, really. Cutting edge stuff is expensive. Consoles need to sell 10s of mi...
The engine is fine.
It's simply that the game is trying to do more than the old consoles can handle so they have to make massive cutbacks, and the current consoles don't have a version yet. On a PC equivilant to the current consoles however, it looks great.
1: that's not a few drops here or thats constant drops in any outdoor area.
2: You realize frame *rate* and frame *pacing* are different right? You can never drop below 60 FPS and still have uneven stuttery games because the frame pacing is bad.
No, they aren't.
Put simply, what exclusives do, ultimately, is mean whoever has the most money and can buy the most talent wins, regardless of the actual quality of the hardware they produce.
This is bad for the consumer. Consoles aren't genuinely competing for value/quality of their hardware, so they're worse than they would be.
Your friends on other platforms can't play those games with you. Bad for both them, and you.
Do yo...
You know what should define gaming hardware?
The HARDWARE. Nintendo, to their credit, actually does this. But even then, most of their exclusives gain little or nothing from whatever hardware gimick they've done this time.
The consoles can and should be competing on their own merits, not on the merits of however many studios the respective companies can afford to buy.
Finally someone who speaks sense.
That's beacuse it's basically got the RDNA2 equivilant of a 5700 or a 5700xt in it. Great midrange cards (especially on a budget nowadays) but definitely not 2070 super tier cards, and AMDs still on their first attempt at ray tracing so it just *tanks* performance on their cards.
If people wanna get the console version, get the console version, it's their money, I just want the misinformation to stop.
TFLOPS means nothing. You're comparing the PS5 (amd) archetecture to the Nvidia archetecture, they cannot be compared that way to determine power.
For example, the 6800XT has 41 TFlops, give or take.
The RTX 3080 has 31.
And yet the 6800XT does not have a 25% performance lead over the RTX 3080. In reality the 6800xt has a ~15% lead at 1080p, at 1440p they're about even, at 4k the 3080 typically wins, and with ray tracing enabled at any resolution the 3080 vi...
This is wrong.
The 2070 is better than current console hardware. PS5/XBSX are ~ 2060/5700xt level in terms of performance.
The 2070 Super beats that by ~15%. Assuming you don't overclock it. So when the next gen systems get their upgrades, you can expect them to basically rival the performance on your machine (given that console games are typically better optimized)
You're claiming they 'made an annoucement' 2 years later. beacuse they 'wanted rainbow points.' That's wrong. She's been trans for a while, end of story.
Also, have you ever written anything, ever? Or roleplayed a character you created, ever? Or seen interviews with like 90% of writers out there, ever? They *absolutely* do not plan everything out and know who the whole character is when they start out, or even after the first couple books. Many ...
This is wrong. If you'd played the DLC, and paid attention (it's over a year old BTW) there's a trans flag on her computer desk. (along with a rainbow flag) and you can see her pill bottles on her bedside table.
It is there.
You just didn't pick up on it. LGBT people did.
Big difference there.
You didn't even read the article, where the 'announcement' is them confirming a *pre existing* fan 'theory.' I wonder w...
@Welshy
It *does* happen natrually in the game. There's a trans flag on her desk int he DLC, that released over a year ago. You can see her pills on her bedside table. Just beacuse *certain people* didn't notice doesn't mean it wasn't there.
She was revealed to be trans in the DLC that came out more than a year ago. Which you'd know, if you'd played it and paid any attention at all. The 'confirmation' is just telling people what we already knew.
Think about it.
They called in the guy who did FF14, who's entire job in FF14 was specifically to break the FF14s overfocus on fidelity to have gameplay that is actually good.
It stands to reason that when put in charge of another project, making things look as pretty as possible would be lower on the priority list than you're used to, *especially* from modern SE (where that design philosophy almost killed FF14, Final Fantasy, *and* Square Enix over like a 10 year ...
'I'm not the one being targeted by her behavior so even though I claim I don't agree I'm willing to give money to her in royalties that she will use to continue to do harm and I want to feel morally justified in doing so.'
Would be a better title.
