So let me get this straight. Instead of fixing the mechanical exploits they built into their bosses, they've decided to forcefully obfuscate proper positioning by not allowing players to show others where they need to be?
If I have that right, that's stupid. Fix your bosses so the "exploits" aren't possible, don't punish everyone by denying them the ability to place markers.
It won't be doing 4k native. At least not as people are thinking. Absolute best case it can manage 4k/30 native on the equivelant of low detail PC settings with AAA games, maybe 4k 60 on small or old titles that aren't demanding in the first place. and you're only getting 4k/30 for AAA games if the game in question is *super* well optomised for the Scorpio or AMD has some miracle tech that they aren't telling people about (because reasons) shoved into it. In any other situatio...
Simply put, those playstation fans are wrong.
The long version is that extremely tight, closed level design and being very good at drawing the players attention where they want it to be, saving processing power in places other than where they're actually directing your attention, and skyboxing might make it seem that way if you don't really look, but if you start licking walls you'll find no shortage of lower quality textures, suspiciously stiff hair, bits of l...
The fact is that with the stated specs the Scorpio will simply not do native 4k 60. It *might* manage native 4k30. Might. Otherwise it's just fancy upscaling, which isn't all that hard. It doesn't really make the games look better than regular 1080 unless you're like 6 inches from the screen.
I'm with @Lamboomington here. It would be a waste. Just get games running at 1080/60 on high settings instead of the low/medium detail settings they have to use no...
I'll tell you right now, they won't. I know they won't because their figure (6 tflops) is far less than current PC hardware that can't even begin to touch 4k60 native. Even if every game is fantastically optimised for their specific console, it's not out performing cards that are almost 30% more powerful than it is and it's definitely not doing it at a decent price because *just* the cards necessary to get 4k/30 are 400usd, and they only hit 4k60 if they're actuall...
cross buy would be alright (though hardly great consideing it's only really useful if you're dragging a console to a friends place or you're letting someone manopolize your gaming PC) if UWPs didn't suck. But as it happens, they suck harder than average industrial vacuum so it's not really a good deal when it's a crap product.
Get a PC.

Not finished yet (as in they haven't done enviroments), but that looks pretty good to me.
I doubt it somehow. I got so sick of their urban nonsense post underground. Having played since the original Hot Pursuit, Hot Pursuit 2010 was the closest NFS had come to being the NFS I wanted since Hot Pursuit 2, 2 generations ago.
Remember Burnout 3? They should just do that, but with better controls. It would be like Hot Pursuit 2010, but more violent and with a so bad it's good 90s DJ who never shuts up.
^ This guy gets it.
Ubisoft is just being greedy and making excuses.
Yes, other people do stupid things, lets abandon an identity. I'm not going to define myself as an american anymore because americans do some dumb things.
ME3s ending was attrocious.
Context. How many gamers were among the voters who also had their houses foreclosed by bank of america or wells fargo? How many are actively screwed by EA every time they release anything. It's not about being petty, as you so inelegantly imply, it's about having ...
Would it make me uncomfortable, yes. Am I required to be there? No.
Simple solution then, let them throw whatever type of party they want and don't go. Everybody (including the women who are likely well paid for their services) walks away happy. Same approach as any other party really.
Its a generally sensible arguement, and the only one I've seen yet.
My response is that its the parents responsibility to teach their children the difference between the games and reality, and to judge wether or not the child is capable and dissallow various things until the child has shown they are capable of making such distinctions.
The industry cannot be held accountable for the actions of consumers. Everything has a place in media, shallow hyper-sex...
No helmet cam is a deal breaker. Its the only way I play. Sucks too, I love codemasters racing games.

So its not OK to exclude gays, but it is ok to exclude non gays? That stands up to scrutiny.
Everything has a place in games, just as in movies and books. By embracing potentially volatile subjects as the other mediums do, the industry can be allowed to grow artistically. It will anger some people, yes, but books and movies can endure the criticism and so must we if we want our hobby to be all that it is capable of being, instead of shacking the creativity of the developers with the fear of offending someone.
Thats his point. The image is all in your head. It doesn't reflect reality because its not reality. If people like you stopped focusing on the negative, you'd see that.
Games are frequently targeted at men ages 14-30. In games made for that audience, expect beautiful women and skimp outfits, because that audience likes it.
If you don't like it, play games with different or wider target audiences.
What about the "attempted rape" in heavy rain? Or when a psychopath tries to sodimise the female lead with a power drill? No outcry then. Its a ****ing game people. This is the same stupidity that let those kids try to blame their driveby on GTA a few years back.
As a gamer who understands the difference between games and reality, and doesn't seek for games to illustrate reality, because that rather defeats the purpose of playing the game, I say you're making a big deal out of something that isn't one.
My best N64 memories are of Zelda, Extreme G and Starfox. So it's actually not. Not that i have anything against banjo and kazooie, it's just not my thing.
I hate presumptious article titles.
