No, actually. For 1, you don't have a choice in the vast majority of games, so it's not a choice. 2nd, the Jaguar CPU is garbage and so many games simply wont run at 60FPS on it.

And yeah, most AAA games being 30FPS locked because the CPU can't handle more even if the GPU can, is a problem, to be solved. The solution is a better CPU and an options menu that lets you prioritize visuals or performance.

No, it's not. Even if they wanted to, they couldn't do 60FPS in quite a few games simply because the Jaguar isn't capable of it. The graphics settings for something like Fallout 4 and AC Unity are basically irrilivant, it's too CPU heavy. When they designed their new systems they weighted the GPU heavily as a cost cutting measure, and consumers are paying for it with garbage unstable 30FPS locks in a lot of games.

You don't need to disagree. It's basically objectively wrong. I've been playing Persona games for a decade. Normal difficulty in all of the (modern) titles is just flat out easy to me. Most (though not all) Wasteland 2 and Baldurs Gate style CRPGs are in similar situations. Dragon Age Origins is easy even on nightmare, with any flavor of heavy armor user, blood mage or archer allowing me to breeze through the game more or less unopposed after the first couple hours (the tutorial f...

Even if we ignore that PC has free online and the XboneX doesn't and that impacts price (which we shouldnn't,) thati's still not true. For one they over-spent on the CPU and mobo. A G4560 and a $50 mobo would cut a good 80 or 90 bucks off that price.

What's that? PC has free online and consoles are just price gouging you because they know you're basically stuck with them? Paying sony for the internet bandwith you already pay for and servers the developer/publisher pays for is stupd?

Glad we're on the same page.

Symhonia is aggressively mediocre. 1 decent plot twist in a game otherwise consisting entirely of stock anime tropes and with a painfully simplistic and clunky battle system does not make a good game. This is the same reason SOTET doesn't hold up as well anymore. Granted it has a better battlesystem and you can exxplore the characters in more depth to see how they're at least somewhat different than the tropes they seem to be, but the differences aren't quite enough to save most o...

Speaking as someone who actually likes porn games, House Party is a shitty asset flip. The same house is used in a couple of "horror" games that got through greenlights. The Jimquisition even covered one of them.

If you like porn games, Do yourself a favor, get japan Applocal and either buy japanese copies of porn games and use english patches from places like Hongfire, or buy translated copies from one of the sights that sells them. Ignore this shit.

Steam and GOG would like to say: Something Something free and higher quality online with all the same features and then some.

Because literally every main character in in Uncharted doesn't have invincible plot armor and they definitely don't survive things that should be fatal on a regular basis.

Oh wait.

And unless you can explain what "forced" diversity is and how that's somehow a different kind of diversity in a game world where *the ethnicity, age, sex and sexual orientation of every single character is specifically chosen by the creators" then you're full of crap.

It's always "forced." Just like a lack of it is always "forced."

And no "the minority," whatever that means, are not whiny and impo...

What part of the word LIKELY do you not understand? The very definition explicitly states that there is a possibility of something else happening.

3147d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Likely. As in, it could be something else. As in it could be a success, or be a failure but still succeed in disrupting the market.

You're paying EA. That automatically makes it bad. Don't give money to EA, for any reason, or they'll never stop being shit.

You say lol no to say you disagree, but then in the very next line you implicitly agree.

Could. Not "will," could. Yes, it could. It probably won't, but it could. I hope it does.

Technically, they don't actually need the money. They need investors who have the money. If they managed to convince some people, they very well could compete. Likely? Not in my (admittedly layman) opinion. Possible? Yes.

The trick would be, I think, to not bother trying to compete right out the gate, instead going for a limited run targeting population centers in the US and/or Europe to minimize risk, and if it catches on you expand from there.

Now...

And when it dies?

Also it puts all my games in one place. See I have PS1, a PS2, a Sega Genesis, a N64, a Gamecube, a Wii, A PS3, an original Xbox, an Xbox 360 and about 6 different handhelds. It's much simpler to just stick everything on the PC and not need my livingroom to be a tangled mess of consoles and controllers (not to mention the various other benefits of using a fully functional emulator, like rendering at a higher resolution.)

3149d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Tell that to games like AC unity, Fallout 4, Watchdogs 2 and GTA 5 that bring modern consoles to their knees specifically because the CPU can't handle the complexity of the scene and the number of things it has to keep track of. Not to mention that being a big part of the reason that most games on console won't run at 60FPS (or even a consistent 30) even when the console has the GPU power to handle it.

GPU seems way more important right now because GPU tech advanc...

I did not know that. Even checking though, that's only true if you've got 1000 bucks lying around to spend on a TV.

3150d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

It being garbage and a long standing boycott of any service or product that would result in EA making money are pretty good reasons.

Input latency. Even the best TVs are in the 25 to 30 ms delay range. Moniters sit in the 9 to 15 range. This is also why you'd use a moniter if you were serious about competitve gaming, even on a console.
