I agree with you mostly, but I disagree with ps+...
I bought into that in 2011 and don't regret it. It's like Sega channel, but feasible.
Maybe I just play too many games, so ps+ makes sense.. Like the payday 2, remember me, bioshock infinite, outlast, and more in the last month or two... I would have had to spend an easy few hundred on those games I wanted to play.
Edit: I'm just not sure it's so simple as lumping free to play as bad....
That's pay to win which is a derivative of free to play, and which is also very common amongst AAA $60 retail games. The $60 lures you into a false sense of free.
There are games attempting many facets of the free to play model and some are pretty good, like planet side, some private servers, team fortress, DOTA and warframe WHERE you literally never (have to) spend anything...
Am I the only one who thinks this person should have gone into more depth? Right track, but time versus money issues or realizing it would click through maybe, JUST MAYBE?
I understand and agree with you. I also don't care for that type of marketing, that's why my disagreeing-with-ms gets me lumped in with Sony fanboys... And conversely why I support Sony over ms.
At first I didn't agree with you (but didn't vote because, "meh") and I continued reading until I hit thunderbear who said, "If they are smart, the VR headset will be both PS4 and PC compatible."
Then I got to thinking about proprietary "extension" devices... Like non-hacked Kinects, the move, flash guns, track pads, guitars and dance pads specific to certain systems... Then I went, "omg, that makes perfect sense!"
Correct me if I'm wrong, but... I'm just quoting myself on a different article about the same topic.
"There are roughly 126 million people in Japan and roughly 315 million in usa. And let's take into the account of 35 million Canadians for a sum of 350 million in north America. So 350 million people when ps4 launched in NA, and 126 million people when it launched in Japan.
Ok, now that is out of the way. 350 million people bought 1 million p...
I feel like there could have been a lot of arguments and points discussed about each individual part of this topic to help us on both sides to come to a better understanding about thinking.
Ugh, hope that made sense.
There are roughly 126 million people in Japan and roughly 315 million in usa. And let's take into the account of 35 million Canadians for a sum of 350 million in north America. So 350 million people when ps4 launched in NA, and 126 million people when it launched in Japan.
Ok, now that is out of the way. 350 million people bought 1 million ps4s on November 18th.
Next, NA has about 2.7 more population than Japan (350 / 126 = 2.7 repeating).
Not sure I agree with that. Coop can be pretty ambiguous, split screen? Offline multiplayer? Online coop campaign? Online stand alone campaign? Online multiplayer?
I like to play games with my friends too, sometimes coop campaigns, sometimes MMOs, sometimes BF4 or the likes.
Your generalization, however, is ignorant both about the games and the fact that the Sony playerbase is too fanatical. There are fanatics on both sides.

It's not rumors, it's technology and understanding the integration of software and hardware... ALL software and ALL hardware.

I really wanted naughty dog to stick to the pattern of new ip for new consoles. Crash 1-3 n racing on ps1, hall on ps2, uc on ps3...
Sigh. I get it, it just saddens me. (Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge uncharted fan).
Seriously, I don't get the trolls who use the "you can't play titanfall because it doesn't come to ps4" argument.
Pc....
By using that logic, Sony fanboys can use any pc game that isn't coming to x1. Not to mention it isn't even a console exclusive since it's coming to 360.
Happens on both sides.
Honestly, I was surprised about this news, didn't think it would be intensive. I'll have to look into this game a bit more now.
Xbox fanboys have several names for Sony fanboys.
If there is hate coming from either side, then obviously the one that throws more names around is the most hateful.
It's truly disgusting sometimes, either side.
I've been wondering that. Cultural differences are crazy sometimes.
As a Sony enthusiast, it bothers me when Miku says it every single post, especially first post.
And I agree, it's almost cultish.
In the simplest of ways, you are right. I agree. In fanboy minds they weigh pros and cons. Side-A fanboy might weigh a feature as a con, while side-B fanboy Might weigh the same exact feature a pro.
That's the problem, is that many of us think everyone else should think the same. We can quantify and qualify the hell out of it but it doesn't matter.
There are the facts, and based upon the facts we make decisions. However, there are opinions, and we can...
Lol, I did too, when they said the price was $15ish pounds, I went... wait, what?
Not to mention Sony store sales, picked up puppeteer and rain, and a few other games for less than $20. Puppeteer was $7.50 and gamestop was selling it it at $35/$40 when that sale happened.
I agree Lou Lou, but you are giving it attention too :-(
