Defending against ignorance and misinformation is not a bad thing. The problem is that people don't get the subtle differences in the talking points. They just lump them together even though you have to separate them to actually understand the whole picture.

That's not true in terms of business. Look at sleeping dogs, even though it was a great game, their first Report was a loss, and then many months later they finally said it did well. They were talking to their investors. (It was a sleeping dogs or tomb raider)

free games with plus: resogun (highest rated exclusive), contrast, don't starve, and very shortly, outlast.
Free to play games: warframe, war thunder, blacklight retribution, and dcuo.
That's 8 non-trackable in attach rate with games. So the fact that x1 has only a 2.6 attach rate and ps4 has still has a 2.1 is saying a lot.

The way I see it is a foot in the door / snowball effect. AT&T will have such great rate of returns that investors won't mind the FEW customers who leave. The service will then be the first to really offer power, but be able to control the consumer.
