If you are talking about graphics between the two consoles, it's not just resolution. Ac4 on the ps4 has a better/newer AA while x1 has an older, less effective AA and a lower resolution.

This article has no clear point. These graphs do not imply change as they are not closely related to each other.
The graphs of single player campaign length, video game growth as a media outlet, and how certain regional markets spend (without taking per capita and China's recent lift on the console ban) do not show a change in just, solely, the games industry.
