People are ignoring the fact Microsoft have been flapping their arms about throwing their money around JUST to keep their console up sales wise.
Look at sonys poor effort so far and they've sold faster than the 360 did in its timeline, faster than the ps2 did in this timeline and up untill the price drop of the 360 its been doing very well considering its price.

Japanese gamers who were looking forward to FF13 before the announcement for 360 already went and got a PS3, hence the 2.4m total sales there so even if it is announced for the 360, it won't hurt the ps3 THAT much.
RPG i've been able to enjoy in a long time, it has such a nice atmosphere the towns feel alive, the combat system is very fun to use - making you actually look forward to fighting something and the business side of things is great if you like that sort of stuff.
If you have an xbox 360 and like rpgs, you'd be a fool to miss this. You lot are not getting the most out of games this generation because you are all hanging off reviews there are some amazingly good games out there that...

The gameplay in gears is what makes it good, the gameplay is still the same as the first one but much more refined making it work better.
It definatly won't be a flop like haze was, or a dissapointment, the story might be for some people - but i'm buying it for MP, co-op and horde :)

Oh and ^^ i have a 360 and i don't have it, mainly because its the 23rd here in the uk at the time of posting and it isn't released till the 24th in the uk.

360s and never ever thought of "hacking" my 360 to play copied games. There is a chance you can get banned from xbox live for it and i would rather have the ablity to go online than have free games.
Sony seemed to have learned though from the psp which some say piracy has pretty much killed games on the psp as developers keep leaving the platform. I wonder if the ps3 will ever be "hacked"?
GTA IV is only just coming out in Japan.
Portal on a console and can't imagine liking it on a console with the controller, does it have keyboard and mouse support?
To make mgs4 more accessible - yes they did that but it was a tad unmgs like, still an amazing game though.
It'd take something really special to beat the mgs series in my eyes..
That would be very hard to make a good story for anyway, who cares about the story mode though, you'll only play through that 2 or 3 times (once on your own, one or two times co op.)

Gave it to my sister less than two weeks after i got it, she tried buying games for it that were actually good but after 5 or 6 she gave up and went back to her ps2.
So yeah, i'd say it was a waste of money - and whats the ps3 got to do with anything?
But with reviewers throwing them 10s around games like GTAIV and Halo 3... then yeah..

xbox live since last year then going creating a whole new gold account today... i can't see where my £40 went?
Slow download speeds, i mean it could just be me i get at least twice the download speeds on psn than i do on xbl and having to configure my router for it to play online properly is silly when the ps3 worked fine straight out of the box, i know i already had it configured once but i got a new router since me last having xbox live and had forgot to do it before hand...
