I see where you are coming from with the unreal engine part, but it being their first game on the system should mean nothing. Look at killzone2 & MGS4 - they were all the developers first games on the system and, especially MGS4 has hardly any technical faults, apart from the framerate dipping during the massive explosions but that is about it.
Usually means very little to me if it has a poor single player mode, i however don't mind games dedicated to just online gaming.
They are using the old "slow blu-ray drive" excuse to cover their bad programming.
The fact is blu-ray has a much higher data transfer rate than DVD which eliminates the need for a faster blu-ray drive.
Sony have been making hardware since the 1940's, they have been at the forefront of many of the worlds technological advancements, thinking they would make such a silly mistake of putting a slow blu-ray drive in their system is stupid.
If they improve the ps3 version before it comes out, i was really interested in this and was just about to buy it on 360 but reviews havn't been good.
I loved fable 2, a bit empty for an open world RPG but i still loved it. I'll be buying this DLC.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but the wii is also beating the 360 in its home turf.
If it is open world, the only way they would be able to do it is just have a large install before you start the game.

Did not play it long enough, when i first logged onto it i was too a bit "Really? is this it?"
But once i had got into it, unlocked more classes and explored the maps and now everytime i'm on it i really cannot believe how good it is.

Microsoft had to say was that they were outselling them in the uk, sony have been saying that they are outselling them in EUROPE as a whole.
Um Guerrilla Games is a first party studio owned totally by Sony, so what you basically just said "Sony worked with Sony".
There won't be anything big that you'll miss out on in terms of spaces, they might just look different etc.
Anyway, it looks pretty good - if sony use it alot for game advertising, streaming their live shows on the media stage like E3, Playstation day etc it should be alright.
The club feature sounds pretty cool too.
Is a proper beta though, a beta where you talk to the developers to help them improve the game, a beta where we are allowed to see what changes have been made due to the user feedback.
LBP, Resistance 2 & Socom betas were all hype machines.

Was made available for developers in a firmware update for the ps3 a while back, only two games support it though - supersonic acrobatic rocket powered battle cars and pixel junk eden.
