Firmware update for BC will only apply to disc based games. They code the PS1 and hopefully the future PS2 games to work on the PS3 before they release them on the PSN. I just wonder if they will be compatible with HD or not. I have a 40 gig, so I don't get BC but do PS2 games fill the screen or are they cut off at the sides?
This is great news, I just hope it doesn't crash everything when everyone get's on to get this :) I can't wait. They should just release it to N4G members only today, that way we could test it out for them :) (I know wishful thinking and completely ridiculous, but hey, can't a man dream!)
The new Sid Meier Pirates! is great as well, graphics overhaul. It really is an offshoot of Pirates! Gold for sega genesis and Master system. Monkey island is a classic though, I agree with him on just about every point, if you like pirate games, which I do, then he's spot on.
There is one game I'm not wanting to completely replay, and that's Dynasty Warriors... I've beaten it with every character and go max rank with all... well over 60 hours, and that game can get repetative. :)
Oh, I'll go through oblivion again, it's been a long time since I've played that game. It's not that big of an issue. I like trophies for the replay value they add to games... this is just a LOT of replay value. Besides, thereapersson made a good point about the trasfer of data from one PS3 to the other giving you trophies you didn't earn, there is no way around it.
I think most of my games are worth of a replay once this system hits. They act like it's a bad thing that it makes us replay our games, annoying at times, sure, but for the most part I will thoughrouly enjoy my replay. I've been waiting for trophies, I just hope game patches for former releases comes sooner rather than later.
I'm with you on this one siligon, I may play these titles, but I'm not anticipating. They don't look like they are gonna revolutionize anything and I could care less about online play.
I'm not trying to push anyone's buttons by suggesting this go to consoles, I'm merely stating that MY WISH is for it to release on PC, and then port to consoles. Timed release sort of thing. It's just wishful thinking, but still I'd love to play the game, and I'm afraid I won't if it comes out on PC only.
I agree and bubbles for even saying it. I don't know if my comp could run it. It probably could, but I'm not putting anything else in my case for a while. Plus I like to have The Simpsons or Futurama or Aqua Teen Hunger Force playing on my computer while I play PS3 on the big screen, it's just my tastes in gaming I guess. I really hope this comes to PS3.
You make a valid point, but I disagree. From a business standpoint, wouildn't it make sense to broaden your audience and release a game like this to console players. I'm not a PC gamer anymore, so if they don't release it on the PS3 or 360, I won't play it. I love the series though, I wore out the first 2 and anything that played like it (Balders gate series) and I would do it again, I'm just not into sitting in my computer chair and playing my games anymore, I'm into drinking with my buddies...
How does this look good Agent X? The article says nothing of features or usablity it only says he's gonna try to make the conversion painless, but what do you expect him to say? He's not gonna say "Well, we just decided that we would make this transition more difficult, in fact if you are using an old version of Windows, none of your programs will work and we will be hacking your computer and wiping any hard drives that don't have Windows 7 the month following the launch"? I think...
Group X songs are hillarious, there's a massive collection on you tube, the stick figures kill me. But any way, I was singing that song the whole scene of him pooping, after the initial WTF feeling I had.
Ok, I think if you've been doing something as your PROFESSION for a number of years, you go to training classes 4 times a year in different states and conferences. You meet with Sony, Samsung, Toshiba, Panasonic... oh I get it, you think I work at Best Buy??? No, I work at H.H. Greggs, I was a full commissioned salesman (moved up to an office Job but still in the field) and I have been working in electronic sales for 7 years. That makes me a professional. I digress
Did I say t...
I've played both, they aren't nearly the same game. No reason to even compare them. Halo's numbers are gonna be superior, but who cares. It's a fun game, and it's not Halo (which is actually a great thing)
WTF moment was when Johhny pooped his pants, reminded me of a song I once heard. Pick your poison.

How come every time I look at the people who let this article slip through AGAIN my gaydar goes off??? Hmmm.. must be electronic interference.
I have a thought, you know how typically unreliable TV's DVD combos were when they first came out.
I sold TV's for a long time, and the bane of my existance was christmas when TVDVD combo's were cheap, and everybody bought one.
What happens is that the DVD player might malfuntion after 2 years, it just happens, BUT it would permanantly lock 90% of these TV's on the DVD input, and they got a blank Screen as a result. If you don't buy an extended warranty (on a 46 ...
That may be tru kev, but I don't think all the profits will go to Samsung, my only point was, a lot of companies will be making money from this venture if they actually choose to do it.
I thought sales spiked upon release of MGS4, and now they are back down but still above previous numbers. I don't see how that's a crash. That's what happens when a system seller hits. You have a spike, and then you are better off than you were before.
I have a PS2 and plenty of games as well, but I would like to condense to one Sony console hooked to my TV, and if they can make that happen, then I'm all for it.
