You wouldn't even be playing MGS4 on the 360 without the use of 5 disc's MINIMUM, that's assuming that MGS4 takes up only 20 gigs of the disk, and we know that it takes more. You wanna 3 minute load time, or swapping out 5 discs? Oh, and Blue Ray discs are more scratch resistant as well, in fact it's hard to accidentally scratch a Blu-Ray disc. Let's just not talk about that being a mistake for gamers.
I am gonna agree, the price cut is gonna really help, but PS3's coming down as well, it's only 400 bucks for the 40 gig. It was 500 4 months ago. When 360 comes down to 250, it's gonna sell a few more.
I couldn't agree more
*Injects himself with nanomachines and starts firing at Screaming Mantis*
LONG LIVE DEBACLE!!!!
This is a Joke article, saying that Blu-Ray was a bad idea??? Come on, just because it takes uneducated people a while to spot a long lasting technology, doesn't make it a mistake to put into the console. Same thing was said about DVD, "Noone will throw away their VHS library for DVD's, it's not economical" Well, let's face facts, this world longs for entertainment, and this guy saying that PS3 is gonna tank, is seriously fvcked in the head. Sony PISSES 3 billion dollars people, PI...
I have to side with action on this one, not the plateu side, but the fact that most responses were ignorant fanboy ranting about a game that really doesn't look that much better than it's former. He even admitted it will be a good game. I own gears one, this looks a lot like it with some more features, I liked the storyline and the way they incorporated the shadows more than anything, but this is a renter for me, A RENTER!! I should have never bought the first one, I beat it quickly, even fo...
I have a sexy samsung 46 plasma AND the sexy PS3 sitting beside it, both piano black finish, and even though they get lip prints on them far too easilyI still give em' a little kiss from time to time :)
They warn you about fingerprints on Piano finish, but not lips?? Go figure.
On topic, I agree it's over priced, but I sold TV's for 4 years back in college, and Sony brand loyalty will push most people to pay that price and even suggesting otherwise can lose you...
Who cares? I got a PS3, it's not going anywhere, it's only gonna get better from here on out. It's just expensive, that's it. And it should be for all of the extras you get. The PS3 40 gig is 399.99 at Best Buy in the states... that's not that bad folks. The 360 is 379. It's coming down, little by little. Just because nobody on here can see a price cut, doesn't mean it's not happening. My buddy bought his PS3 4 months ago. It was 499.99 for the same thing that is 399.99 now. Does noone see t...
I'm just waiting patiently for this game to come out, MGS and FFXIII are the main reasons I bought the PS3 to begin with. Now, just crank out some RPG's for me please!!!
Eh, it's smarter for third party to go multiplat for the most part, unless you have a game that is gonna somewhat bomb in a certain region ( such as MGS4, some people thought it was gonna not do so well in the states, thinking we were all MS junkies over here) but it did just fine. Squeenix may be making a mistake by going to 360, since the core of the companies gamers are in Japan, and Japan is not going to just follow Squeenix wherever they go. But most of those will be timed exclusives at ...
Wow, what a campaign Sony has been running latetly. The MGS bundle... 2.4 being "hotly anticipated" (I put it in quotes because I hate that term, but that's what everyone is saying) and now this deal is back, they are trying to get that install base up, it'll work too.
Zelda 2:Link to the Past for NES for sure.
Of course people are warming up to it. It's always been the Tech's choice of console, now that Blu-Ray won and the great games are here (and FFXIII lest we forget) it's gaining ground fast.
When we get this update and Home, PS3 will be a Utopia for me. It's nice to see Sony listening to fans and giving us what we want.
Sounds nice, I'll can easily wait till then to upgrade phones. My question is, which provider will pay for the rights to the phone?? Can you imagine the flame war if MS made a phone that was Verizon and Sony went with AT&T?? haha
Is it saying that in the 30 year span between 18-48 that gamers spend 30,000 USD??? If so then I hate to say it but I will have spent more than that. I got 46 in. gaming plasma (pixel shifter and whiteout image retention options) PS3, 360, 12 games for 360 (after trade ins) and 6 games PS3 (after trade ins). That doesn't even count the fact that I've bought another PS2 so I could mod it and have around 50 game for it, all since I turned 18. I got a DS, a PSP, around 14 games each for them. I...
It's not that I'm ungrateful for the things we've been given. I think that Sony is doing a stellar job of providing us with content. It's just that I didn't see any PS1 games on that list. And I've been wanting Suikoden and MGS series and Chrono Trigger (yes, it came in the FF Chronicles pack before someone says "That's a SNES game") and other PS1 RPG remakes. If we don't ask, we don't receive I guess is my point :)
Man, I hope there is more than that, this update is a crap shoot IMO.
One of the only EA games I'll play. I love golf games!!!
Just happy to see my music in game, looking forward to that. Only so many times I can play a game before the music get's old. Especially online games. MMO's are just better when you got a little Tool or A Perfect Circle in the background. :)
Yeah, Video market place to rent and buy HD movies. MS has done a lot of things right, no doubt about it. Sony is learning a lesson, but it's a lot easier to upgrade Firmware, than it is to add an HDMI port or Blu-Ray drive. Sony's forsight was amazing. They spent the money on the firmware development later. It's good business.
