I don't think it will, they just dropped the price recently. Would be sweet though. I'd get another so my living room could have one.
Thanks for the advice Godhand, but you misunderstood me. I know how to do it, I got a 320 gig in mine, I'm speaking in general terms as to why Sony is replacing some PS3's. Some people are scared to death to open any electronic device. Some people parents won't allow it, you get my drift.
If they don't do FFXIII or White Knight, I'm gonna be a little upset (only because I am looking forward to them so much). Please give me some good news on those games.

My girl is a HO for games like this. You put Jeopardy, Battle Ship, Family Feud, 10,000 Pyramid, or any other game show, and you can be I will have it (as I don't have a choice, my girl demands things sometimes)

I have 15 blu-ray discs, all of them work fine. Never heard of that being a problem. Unless by 80% of a VERY limited number of crashes. News to me.
I was under the impression that users couldn't get the XMB to load, forcing them to reformat the HD. I think it's great that they are replacing the PS3 (most likely though they are only reformatting the HD and shipping it back) because some people out there own one, but don't know how to take out the HD or reformat it or back it up or anything.
Not that great of a story to Halo anyway, so losing Master Cheif wouldn't be a big deal. Sure he's an icon and all, but he can be easily replaced. It's not like he's Snake or anything, there's no big story everybody is waiting for, just point and click, point and click. The next Halo will be just like the last one. Yeah, there is something about being eaten alive that makes me want to play a game :) Looks good, can't wait for it myself, and I think 5 Euro is like.. 8 dollars or so, so it won't be too bad.
Sounds good, probably keep my eye on this one. The only problem I have ever had with shooters is that they feel pointless to me, being a fan of good story. This game seems to bridge the gap to allow me to finally enjoy a FPS.
I see your point, if all you read was the title, it is a bit harsh on that point. But in reading the article, he makes a fair point.
They are taking care of the problem. The point of the Article was that people are making a big deal over this snafu when all the other companies have already done it. Nobody is saying the victims of this mistake shouldn't be compensated, they are saying that everyone else should shut up and enjoy the gaming.
I don't care what company messes up, it's not about just Sony (as the article states) it's about all three companies. It's just saying that people are trying to crucify Sony over something that every system so far has done.
Xbots blowing it out of proportion is probably correct. I don't care enough about my Xbox make start sh!t, and neither should they.
How big will the install have to be? Do you think it will change the 5 gig install to a 10, doubling the space to 100? Maybe not, it just seems that with more data on the disc, the lens would have that much harder time reading it quickly enough. Just a thought.

He was fair at times, but I don't expect a Sandbox fanatic to understand the complexity of the MGS series.
Furthermore, he speaks as if the MGS is the first linear game ever made. Like he's never played FF series or... basically every game tells you what to do and where to go to some degree. Excluding Sandbox games of course.
