I agree, being a musiscian, even the slightest blip in sound aggravates me. So the noise made by the that drive is insane. If they offer some sort of HD content, I'm sure I'll participate in this when it's offered.
I'm not getting my hopes up, it's probably setting up some more servers so we can have a better connection when 2.4 does hit. There is gonna be some problems off the bat, they are probably testing it out to make sure there's no crash. Smart thinking.
If MS had their way, there would be only one console. Then they'd really get to treat us all like sh!t. You can't take away competition, that's insane.

This is what I hope happens:
1. The patch doesn't come and a LOT of gamers go against them for false advertising.
2. Valve says they won't develop for PS3 anymore like a bunch of queefs.
3. I won't care and Valve will go fvck themselves.
I know that is a little harsher than my usual line of thoughts, but come on, it's not an attack on PS3 we are really talking about here. They don't care about GAMERS... that's my issue. They don't care about gamers ...
I think I know what you are talking about, and that's 100 mil counting PS2, PSP, and PS3, hardware and software.
What is wrong with 1up??? How are you gonna have a guy review a game that is gonna come back and say, It's just too hard for me, you have to push all these buttons and it's more complicated than the others were? Give me a break, if it's too hard for you, quit your side job as a reviewer and go back to playing your SNES for god's sake. It's next gen gaming, I want a challenge.
I'm waiting for the patch that adds more flying vehicles to the game ( or at least as many as in the previous) I'm also waiting for the patch that lets you parachute... How about one that fixes the driving mechanics back to the fun GTA's I remember?? How about just improving so this GTA is better than the one's before it? No? Well then count me out.
Sony has more money than they know what to do with. ALL SYSTEM LOSE MONEY THE FIRST 3 YEARS. All of them. At this rate they will be have a profit of over 1 billion dollars by the end of 2010. They are cutting their losses by 1 billion a year, and they have the money to back the system for the duration. This is no big deal at all.
I tend to like games until the whole world jumps into the 4th installment like it's a new game. Then, I could care less anymore. I really enjoyed the first 3, maybe this one being WWII oriented will take us back to bolt action weapons and stallengrads again. I like WWII games.
They are both truthful. If you read both, you'll notice that the other one is total sales for each game. Meaning it was stacking MGS (exclusive to Ps3) and Lego indiana (multi on 7 systems). This one is breaking that up per game per system.

There is room for debate in games guys, you can have a different opinion. Personally I feel that as Kojima was preparing the game, he had me and all my fellow beings like me in mind, he made the perfect game for it's time, and it's a 10 in my book. But this guy is entitled to his own opinion, he gives it credit where credit is due, it's just not his thing. I hate GTAIV for instance (even though I loved the other GTA titles) and that is disagreed with a lot, but who cares, it's just my opinion...

It's the fact that it sold so many copies and only on one system that made it impressive anyway. Of course lego will be up there, it's on every system and the game is mildly entertaining.
You got some good choices in there for good games silogon. I didn't enjoy the pants sh!tting shananigans that much either, although I was playing in a group and we were taking turns playing stages or deaths, so it was amusing for some of my friends, and we all got a laugh. Just depends on who you are whether you liked that or not. How about the guy pissing off the bridge when you are tracking Naomi (I moan backwards)? Visa works, so does mastercard. The system is just particular, which makes little to no sense, but still that's how it is. I would have like the card, but my visa card worked so no worries there. I might get them as gifts for my buddies.
Anybody notice that Playtm gave GTAIV 98/100 or 9.8 and they give MGS4 an 8??? Ok, thats credible. I won't even play the two games on the same system in fear that my PS3 is so used to MGS, that if I put such a sub-par game in it like GTAIV it might brick the damn thing. Crap review, NEXT!!!
I agree with Rice, maybe these features should have been in the first one's shipped, but with this update, it clearly puts PS3 on an even playing field as far as the XMB goes. But Sony does amaze me, it's amazing that every product I recieve from them (TV, WALKMAN, PS3, Universal remotes, sound systems, etc...) lasts as long as it should. Everyone get's some lemons sometime, but they still amaze me. When next gen systems come out, we'll have bigger mandatory HD's, mandatory installs for games...
