Talking about OG Crazy Taxi. I own it on the Dreamcast and had a ton of fun with it back in the day, but believe gameplay will need to evolve in a remake to incentivize replay ability. Otherwise the game will only serve as a pleasant nostalgia act imho. I believe Shinobi has the potential to be the better game and more than a nostalgia play.
This may be an unpopular take, but from someone who is a fan of both games, unless Crazy Taxi changes some of its gameplay elements, I do not feel it will hold attention for long play sessions.
There was a time when arcade perfect ports were a gamers dream because consoles were always a step behind. When the Dreamcast released, it was the last gen where it was unique and just awesome to have an arcade experience at home. Consoles clearly outpaced the arcade experience by th...
Sorry but it was oversold. I remember pre-launch discussions of 8K, a stable 4K/60 with raytracing as the norm, and even talks of 4K/120. I remember some of the media discussing that the SSD in the PS5 was so fast the GPU could somehow offload some of processing power directly to the SSD for greater graphical fidelity. We were told the leap from gen 8 to gen 9 would be much larger than the leap from gen 7 to gen 8. 4 years later, I am still waiting to see the larger leap.

As negative as this sounds i honestly don’t want to hear anything about the PS6 or a new Series line. I want to see current gen pushed. I mean really pushed with skilled developers who are good at optimization and understand the hardware. Near the end of the last gen highly skilled developers pushed what I never thought possible on that hardware.
That said, as the saying goes…”fool me once, shame on you.” Fool me twice, shame on me.” I’m not buying in to the hype for next g...
A company isn’t going to pay for exclusivity and not promote it. Also, if exclusivity is truly holding this game up for Xbox users, then the release date would be known simply by reviewing when the exclusivity clause ends. Makes no sense.
If there is no disc drive, not only will I have to race scalpers when sales go live for the pro, but also race to get the disc drive add on? In other words, I could score a Pro and potentially have to wait for a disc drive to come at a later date while not being able to use my physical PS5 library. If true, Sony is making this too difficult for consumers.
It’s a Pro console aimed at people willing to pay a premium. Just add the optical and charge for it. It’s pain enough tr...
I hope the scalpers don’t clear them out too quickly. I am going to purchase a PS5 Pro, but I will not pay more than retail.
I would think there would at least need to be an attachable disc drive. My PS5 library is physical and I still plan on playing those games.
GoW 2018 was one of my favorite games. GoW Ragnarok was highly polished and good, but wasn’t as memorable when compared to 2018. I want to play Wukong. It looks amazing. But I cannot speak to how good the game is because there is currently no physical release.
Took me about 2 hours to beat the Valkyrie Queen in GoW 2018. Every time she beat me, I kept telling myself, “I only have to win once so I have the advantage.” Certainly didn’t feel like I had the advantage though. Lol! I was sweating for nearly the entire 120 minutes.
I had a similar thought. There will be so few units sold that they may serve as a rare collectors item. Other than that, I see no reason for that bringing these to the market now would spark consumer interest.
It doesn’t seem they do know what they are doing and they haven’t for a very long time. Honestly makes me sad because the first 2 Xbox gens were innovative in interesting ways and just awesome. I was mainly an Xbox gamer until the release of Kinect. Then it was all downhill.
I was rooting for them at the beginning of this gen. If for no other reason than to provide competition to Sony that would at least keep them honest. I do not want the arrogant Sony from the launch PS3 ...
Don’t forget the shiny galaxy stars on the plastic to bait you and reel you in. Lol
If this is their answer to the pro, it certainly isn’t a good one.
At these prices I am not sure what the appeal is. Why should I want this?
Very true. It seems the suits at Microsoft are demanding a return on investment.
Definitely seems like a no win situation. Highly doubtful anyone will top Larian’s efforts.
This is a great point. Consoles and physical media have been synonymous for decades. If I wanted a digital only library, I would build a premium PC or own a steam deck instead of owning multiple consoles.
@Crimsonwing69 I never the Wukong wouldn’t sell well because it was digital only. That is your perception or you just putting words in my mouth. I said, I would wait for a physical copy and acknowledged that I am fighting a losing battle. Meaning the future is likely to be digital only whether I like it or not.
Purchased a detachable disc drive last night in case it was digital only. Now I just have to score the Pro when pre-orders drop.
That said, at $700, I do not think it be as hard to obtain one at launch. I am an enthusiast so I will purchase the console, but I don’t know if this presentation will convince to many gamers to spend $700 USD
