Earlier there were a few Xbox exclusives that were rated poorly (Redfall anyone) or just failed to meet higher expectations. I don’t think there is necessarily anything nefarious going on, I just think Xbox games rated below expectations are not surprising anymore. Combine that with gamers generally losing interest in the brand after more than a decade of poor or self-serving decisions and I think it is more of a case that no one really cares to talk Xbox games anymore. I loved the OG Xbox an...

Nope. Not because they want more money, but because I don’t want to give them more of MY money for an established franchise that they have decided to convert into a GASS product..

Why Need for Speed Unbound moved to my not going to purchase or play list.

Still have my fingers crossed for a Wukong patch. Hoping there is a patch before my physical copy arrives. HDR implementation would be a big plus as well.

Even a decade ago Witcher 3 was not known for its strong combat. It was the story and narrative branches that made it so amazing. If Fables great strength will be its Witcher like combat, the game will be in trouble.

Monkey nuts sounds about right, but I fail to see your point. The value is in my enjoyment of the console and games. I did not purchase it to realize some sort of future economic return in 2028. I purchased it for the enjoyment I will gain from it right now.

Life is short and I have no idea how many console generations or mid-gen refreshes I will live to see. Unfortunately none of us do.

No worries my friend. Everything is an Xbox 😜

I am happy with my PS5 Pro purchase. I purchased knowing I would get an upscaled 4K presentation at 60fps performance for games that are patched and for me that was worth the price of admission. Any thing that the pro offers above 4K@60fps (enhanced ray tracing, etc.) is just gravy.

I get that everyone has different levels of disposable income and at the moment I am blessed that things are going well for me. That said, for some the upgrade will be worth it, for others the ...

I enjoyed the first game and would have purchased the second game for my Series X at launch if there were a physical release. Since there wasn’t a physical release, I have not played it. Now I am holding out and waiting for a physical release that is pro enhanced. If there isn’t one, I may never play the game. I hope there is because I would like to give the game a shot and see if I like it as much as the first. Time will tell I suppose.

It’s a shame because I used to really love Xbox, but now I couldn’t care less because the brand is not appealing to me anymore.

After having the console for several days now I am very impressed with PSSR implementation. When playing BG3 and FF7R it is like someone wiped the vaseline off of my screen and I now see details that I never noticed before.

In all, I am very happy with my purchase, but would caution those on the fence that you may not notice much difference if you are still playing on a lower end TV. If you are blessed with a high end panel with all the bells and whistles, the difference fo...

Did they not feel like counting their own list before titling it? Closer 100 games than it is to 50 games.

That is a great question because this is good information to have. IMO Sony has not done a very good job of marketing this console and is evidenced by how skimpy their marketing campaign has been. That said, I think this is likely strategic since it is considerably cheaper to have gaming publications and social media platforms do the bulk of the marketing for them.

I am no tech expert, but I suspect adding 2gigs of ram to the OS should offer some more headroom to provide ad...

Game crashed my console so hard one time after 100+ hours (and not finished) I thought the console was dead. I’ll never forget the thought that I lost that save file literally made me nervous my stomach hurt and I immediately had to run to the bathroom. Once I got the console running again I immediately put all my save files on a USB and felt much better. Lol!

Same. Not only do I remember all you just mentioned, but the long loading screens also made an impression. The further I made it in the game, the less I wanted to move shift any objects out of there place for fear it would add to the loading time. I don’t think I could sit and stare at a single movable object in 2024 for as long as I did, and as many times as I did in 2012.

Rebirth has been on sitting on my shelf for a long time waiting for the Pro. Can’t wait to start playing it in a little over a 2 weeks.

On a side note, is Wukong getting a Pro patch or will it benefit from boost mode in any way? I haven’t seen any info regarding a patch yet.

I wasn’t purchasing Wukong until I saw a physical release. Lost interest in Alan Wake by the time they released a physical version.

Can leave the physical copy sealed if you are a collector. This is what I did for BG3 for PS5. Game was so good and had no micro transactions. Felt the need to give Larian my full support in appreciation of the product they provided.
