@Sonic your brother is correct. Despite so many tries I never beat the 1988 version on the original hardware. I only beat it many years later via emulation with save states. There was a late game jump in a mine with multiple flying bats that would make me fall to my death every time. Since it was “Nintendo” hard and game over meant back to level one, it made it that single jump exceptionally stressful.
I picked up NG for OG Xbox in 2004. It was a very difficult game (which ...
NG was probably my favorite game in 2004. However, I never got around to playing NG2 or 3. For those who have played them, do you think it would be worth the time to play 2 and 3 before playing 4 or is sticking with only playing the original before jumping to 4 sufficient? My backlog is growing. Lol
Sorta To your point, but definitely in the same vein. 4 years with my PS4 Pro felt about right for me. Literally a mid gen refresh directly in the middle of the gen. I don’t feel great dropping $780 (inc. disc drive) on my PS5 Pro for only 3 years in what essentially becomes a late gen refresh.
This when I am at the point in life where I am blessed enough that money isn’t really an issue for me, but spending a lot of money in short periods makes me feel like a sucker and I...
Are you describing the Series S as a mid 8th gen console? So confused.
I am not normally a DW player, but the demo sold me. This is a different DW game.
Crashing my car was not a mistake, but mistakes were made when I drove recklessly.🤷
Nope, not for me.
Why are you doubling down on this claim? If you are this adamant that Sony said they were not going to release a Pro, you would have cited it already. It is ok to be wrong. I get it wrong sometimes, everyone does. It’s easier to own up to being wrong and move on. No big deal.
I would assume all items including games. Anytime there is store closing there is pressure to liquidate all inventory because the space has to be vacated by a certain date. The company doesn’t want excess inventory that will cost money to transfer, store, or dispose.
I bought the Series X at launch and it is the worst console purchase I have ever made. It’s especially worse now that I have a Pro because now I will just wait for Indy to be ported over for a better experience. For me there was no game that came out pre the PS5 Pro to justify my Series X purchase.
I won’t make the same mistake with future Microsoft consoles again unless there is a return to form dating back to the OG Xbox and 360, but I’m not holding my breath. Especially ...
Inverno I worked in retail manager many moons ago. This was in the US and I am sure laws vary based on Country, State, Province, etc. That said, If you mark a physical item (even if it’s a mistake), it is unlawful to sell it at a different price than the marked price. It is considered false advertising and was put in place as a consumer protection.
On a side note, the sad thing is, I used to have customers come in the store and move price tags or signage to try and take ad...
I think this is one of the most challenging things about taking a movie IP and turning it into a video game in the modern era. Harrison Ford is Indiana Jones in the same way that Robert Downey Jr. is Iron Man.
I get that it is far to cost prohibitive, but if you don’t have the actor of such iconic characters providing the voice work or if the characters don’t look or feel like how they were portrayed in the movies, it really makes the game feel off.
For e...
You can’t pass through life without at least seeing the first 3. Go watch, well worth your time.
Sony really needs to work with devs and get ahead of this issue as quickly as possible. If you purchase a premium console at a premium price, it should never be a question that you are getting the best version that console gaming can provide.
While I get your point. Why not just provide a disc and a sleeve with a code? One or both could be redeemed. This is similar to how Blu Ray also included a DVD and often times a download code for a movie.
If not, you are likewise alienating customers who purchased a console that includes a disc drive.
Absolutely! It is clear their vision is cloud gaming and they have been trying to move the gaming community in that direction since the inception of the Xbox One.
Maybe the black model was in the same batch as the red. I purchased mine when the new colors first released. The drift on my black controller is so bad that it is unusable.
Recently received two new controllers. One standard white with the Pro and a silver. The battery life is much longer and work perfectly for now.
This is a fantastic analogy for GamePass. Well said!
Earlier there were a few Xbox exclusives that were rated poorly (Redfall anyone) or just failed to meet higher expectations. I don’t think there is necessarily anything nefarious going on, I just think Xbox games rated below expectations are not surprising anymore. Combine that with gamers generally losing interest in the brand after more than a decade of poor or self-serving decisions and I think it is more of a case that no one really cares to talk Xbox games anymore. I loved the OG Xbox an...
The bad camera controls that increased difficulty were not a problem, but a feature when it came to NG. Lol!
