Update: in case anyone had the same issue I did. It took 12 hours and 20 minutes before my confirmation email came through. They are working through what has been a busy 24+ hours for them.

@ Speak Truth I appreciate the response! It’s not in spam either. Shows everywhere I can look (PlayStation Direct Store, bank transaction), except email confirmation. Has me a bit concerned. I know they have had overwhelming volume over the last 24 hours, but 6 hours seems like a long time.

I was able to get the standard pro also, but I am still a bit concerned. My bank says I’m good to go and my card is active, the pro shows in my order history, I have an order id, but I have yet to receive a confirmation email for the order and it’s been 6 hours. Is you or anyone else having this issue? Should I be concerned or am I over thinking it?

I platinumed the PS4 version in 2017, and absolutely loved the game at that time. Don’t really know why but I couldn’t get into HFW and quit after the first large zone. That said, I am not going to upgrade for $10 because I am not likely to play HZD in the near future or possibly ever again.

I wish resources were allocated to new experiences instead of remastering games that do not need a remaster.

Should have sold my Series X back when it stil provided a decent return. Worst console I have ever purchased in my life.

@derek I am of 100% belief that YOU aren’t studying the failure any further, but I guarantee you that Sony is and their Board of Directors will want answers. If they aren’t, they are not acting in the best interest of their business or the consumer.

If a massive failure like Concord is buried, the mistakes cannot be learned from and could be repeated. It is always important to perform a post mortem so Sony and gaming can head in better direction moving forward.

Failures of this scope, even if the budget was half of the $400 million that was alleged, lead to the death of developers, the loss of jobs, and is ultimately bad for gamers. See Atari’s ET in the early 1980s. Hard lesson, but needs to be studied.

Yet people still allow the troll to derail an entire topic. I don’t understand how moderation allows it.

I literally just skip the comment. This may be the best comment obscure ever made. I don’t know because I didn’t read it. I have read to many thread derailing post from this person to ever devote any time to reading another.

I wish everyone would ignore the trolls so we can have a genuine discussion. Stop feeding it and it will go away. Even just hitti...

But Daniel-san doesn’t sweep the leg? He has honor! Jonny sweeps the leg. Those filthy dirty Cobra Kai!

Seems like a logical conclusion when a $400 million project fails to produce a return.

In all sincerity I commend you for your energy and enthusiasm.

Yeah, this sounds much better and more user friendly when compared to watching on my 83 inch LG G22 which can be slow playback and has a zoom feature. You’re right, a 6.69 inch screen is less tedious and a much better experience. Thanks for the tips, I finally feel at ease about getting rid of what I once thought was a proper 4K panel.

This is actually a significant improvement over the base model. This is the type of demonstration/presentation Sony should be giving to sell their new console.

Edit: Needs to be watched on a proper 4K screen to fully appreciate. Phones do not give the improvements the justice deserved.

Yeah, I agree with that perspective when speaking in broad terms. There is a cost and benefit associated with any change.

I will add though that I am admittedly bias against EA. It seems their decision making is more and more in the favor of their shareholders which has led to an increase in cost to the consumer and a decline in the product they are providing.

That said, when I see this article in association with EA, my first reaction is a gloomy one.

And that is exactly the problem. They are doing it because it low risk (cheap) with the potential of a high reward. I get how it helps them, but is this really what gamers want?

I would prefer they focus their energy and resources on new experiences instead of allocating them to countless and needless remasters. But that’s just me. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I’m not so sure of that. I think if you take the humanity out of game development and story telling it will ultimately feel shallow.

I loved this game in 2017 and platinumed it. For whatever reason I couldn’t get into HFW. It felt like much of the same but with a prettier world.

That said, why would I want this? The OG HZD still holds up just fine. Bring something new and exciting. Instead the industry continues to remaster the games that don’t need it at the risk of franchise fatigue. Gaming feels more stagnant than ever before and this remaster trend of games that do not need it is part of the problem....

Yeah I love this game. It was one of my favorite games that released last year, but performance was rough at first. I play on an 83 inch screen and couldn’t play it until the patch came out that fixed the motion blur problem 🤮

They certainly are not helping physical media with this release.

False equivalency. I am paraphrasing, but Microsoft stated that the Series S is their base current gen model and the X should be perceived as their mid-gen upgrade. They went further by stating this to be the reason for no mid-gen upgrade like with the One X or Pro.

Xbox’s base console is a last gen console, but being sold as current gen at a budget price. The S has less significantly less VRAM when compared to the X and this along with the huge GPU power gap has been the b...
