“I’ll never buy any XB games to play on my PS5 Pro.”
Why? No judgment as I am genuinely curious.
I have a Series X but haven’t subscribed to GP for a long time. Now I am waiting for Xbox games to release for PS5 so I can play the best console version of the game.
Again, no judgement, just curious?
I waited for the physical release to purchase this. If it didn’t get a physical release I had already made up my mind that I was fine skipping it.
I know I am fighting a losing battle because an all digital future is inevitable, but I only purchase physical and will continue doing so.
Xbox hasn’t made a good decision is nearly 15 years. If Xbox wasn’t backed by Microsoft money this would have been a dead brand several years ago.
One of my favorite games of that generation. Still remember the game well all these years later.
Agreed. Revenue and service growth is nice, but what is their cost on services provided? Net profits would paint a more clear picture.
I can tell you definitely got some SNES time in. The slight differences in the ports due to hardware constraints were interesting. For example, the arcade version was Ultraaaa Coooommboooooooo! versus Ultra….Ultra….Ultra on the SNES.
Though SNES overachieved as a port for as demanding as a game KI was.The arcade version was one of the first cabinets with a dedicated hard drive and the SNES version was 32 megabyte cartridge which was huge for that system at the time.
KI 1 is top 5 for me in the fighting genre. May have a lot to do with nostalgia but I loved it. It was most visually impressive game my young eyes had seen up to that time.
Chief Thunder was my favorite to play with. Young me just thought he looked cool and I liked the mowhawk launch. That said, I was best with Orchid in PvP. She could start a combo high or if a player was blocking high she could start a combo low in spite of the block. Always kept the player guessing. No...
Or it could just be that males are the primary demographic for gaming and the female body is beautiful creation.
Same. I have a Series X, but was holding off on buying this game in anticipation of Pro enhancements.
And before FTP and other heavily monetized games. If they only knew.
Very good point. So influential that the 3rd entry had to be funded by fans (sarcasm). I really enjoyed Shenmue 1 and 2 in 99 and early 2000s, but by the time the 3rd entry was released, I had moved on.
How does Street Fighter 2 not break the top 21? Literally spearheaded a litany of clones for years and cemented a genre that continues to be relevant to this day. Some were such a blatant rip off that it led to lawsuits (See Fighters History).
Also I agree that BG3 is one of the greatest games of all time and the game with the most depth that I have ever experienced. In fact, it’s probably my favorite game of all time. That said, I have not seen its influence on the industr...
Couldn’t agree more. I do not foresee as many parents willing to drop $450. Especially if there isn’t much differentiation in upgrading from an OG Switch to a Switch 2.
Is this a serious post. Why throw more expensive silicon and power consumption at the problem when current upscaling tech is nearly indistinguishable from native resolutions.
Any PSSR title? What kind of TV are you using? I ask because this is the complete opposite of my experience while playing on an LG OLED G2. I suspect the panel could be an issue here.
Unfortunately you are correct anast. They are focused on the long game. It was the same thing with micros transactions that eventually morphed for some developers into pay to win schemes.
My daughter for example. She has grown up with her friends all playing Fortnight, Roblox, etc and has no real concept that items used to be earned through gameplay and we’re not an additional expense. For her gaming is live service and cosmetic or pay to win micro transactions because that...
@Chris unfortunately you are right. I used to enjoy some of the 2K games before it became overloaded with microtransactions and pay to win schemes. I quit buying them years ago, but there are enough people out there willing to “pay to win” year after year that there is no meaningful reason for 2K and others to change.
Loved it! Very memorable
2K has always been better at sports than EA. A couple examples, EA flat out quit producing NBA games because they couldn’t match 2Ks product and had to purchase full rights to the NFL (Madden) for a prolonged period after 2K5 was one of the best football simulators ever created. This coming from a non-2K fan due to incessant micro-transactions and pay to win schemes.
It’s all subjective, but I personally like the “Bonnie and Clyde” approach. Brings something different to the GTA series.
