Seems Sony is comfortable releasing profit with respect to their gaming division versus some other companies that only want to discuss revenue. I wonder why 🤔

Reporting revenue is useless. What is the net profit? Is GamePass turning a profit for Microsoft or is it cost prohibitive? Reporting revenues and excluding profit seems manipulative.

40fps in fidelity mode and 80fps in performance mode. Nice! Still looking for a proper Pro patch though. Title is a bit misleading.

Absolutely. The leap from 16 bit racers to 32 bit racers was massive!

@Lovespud

Also very possible.

Always hard to get a good grip on the XBOX divisions plans. Often times, I am not sure if they have a set plan because so much of what they say is opposite of what they do. Seems as though there internal communications lack consistency, which leads to considerable speculation on the consumer side. You may be correct though.

A lot of nice upgrades in here, but I am surprised there is no PS5 Pro patch. Witcher 3 got a PS4 Pro patch and a PS5 upgrade. Would love a Pro patch for Cyberpunk.

I think Microsoft is testing the market with this device. If the ROG sells well, they will move forward with the dedicated Xbox handheld that was recently put on hold. If the ROG fails to meet expectations, they will scrap the dedicated handheld.

With the pricing of the ROG combined with rapidly declining brand power of XBOX. I expect the latter will occur.

After having to look the definition enshittification, yes, I agree this applies to Xbox, Windows, etc.

I read the opposite. Article states “Cerny has said that each console takes about 4 years of development.” “If Amethyst began development in 2023, then we might be seeing a new device, possibly, in 2027.”

Did I miss something?

I would actually purchase a traditional console with modern specs from Nintendo, but couldn’t care less about the current underpowered console/handheld hybrid.

However, I am not their target audience and it seems they are doing just fine without me. Congrats to Nintendo!

“The fall of Halo is simply due to MS milking it every single gen.”

Nintendo seems to disagree with the same IPs successfully released with every gen since I was a toddler.

343 took an established, massively popular franchise and blew it.

Start with Phil. The Xbox division has been awful under his leadership. If not for Microsoft money, Xbox would no longer exist.

IMHO:

If Xbox Next is coming in 2026 then PS6 will release in 2027.

I own a physical copy ultimate edition and have it installed. No code :(

Could be because even though I owned the disc and installed it, the game ran through my old gamepass subscription because it shows 0 hours logged.

Could also be that I cancelled gamepass along time ago and do not subscribe to any tier. Or maybe just bad luck. Who knows 🤷

I never cared for Busby because I felt like the character was a less cool rip off of Sonic. This coming from 90s kid who at the time was proclaiming to all kids who would listen “SNES is better than Genesis.”

I am certain this has nostalgic appeal for many, I just never really got into the character.

Serious question. Has there been a Microsoft release that has implemented PSSR on the Pro yet? If there is I can’t think of one. For example Indy’s rez bump is based solely on the strength of the GPU and no PSSR implementation. Seems the development team could have implemented PSSR and had some additional room to enhance ray traced reflections etc.

We have seen developers like Obsidian utilize PSSR too add additional features. Unless I am missing something, I haven’t seen t...
