Heavily monetized pay to win GASS
If it is a dog whistle then you are the only one capable of hearing it. Not liking the gameplay/banter is in no way equivalent to be prejudice against the protagonist because of their skin color and gender.
While early armor sets don’t always look great, I thought many of the grandmaster sets were nice.
Due to sheer difficulty I never thought a Souls game would be the most completed game of any given year. This really speaks to the quality of experience that Elden Ring provides.
Agreed. We were paying $50 for games in the 80s and half the time the purchase decision was based on the box art. Often times I would get the game home and it was terrible.
Also, remember paying $74.99 at Toys R Us for Street Fighter 2 at launch at launch in the 90s. AAA experience at the time and the most expensive game in the store.
You get so much more value with your dollar for games today. It’s incredible.
I remember a comment from my girlfriend at the time. “How could the graphics get any better than this.” Was amazing in 2006.
I really enjoyed Assassins Creed 3. My only complaint was that I didn’t enjoy when I had to switch from Connor to Desmond. It’s a personal preference, but Connor’s story was just more fun for me.
On a side note, Black flag was the most enjoyable of the AC games I played.
This is great because accessibility provides gamers with more options, and more importantly, gives people who are disabled the opportunity to play great games that not long ago they wouldn’t have the choice to play. I love that accessibility is catching on.
The twist is you have to spend 250k just to compete. 2K used to be great and 2K basketball was fun before it was pay to win.
I have both as well. I agree on the image being a bit better on Series X. The difference for me is the utilization of Dolby Vision which is not available on my PS5. All said, both are capable machines and I usually go Series X for multiplats and PS5 for exclusives.
If this were just about any publisher besides EA, I would be excited.
Agreed. I used to be an avid fan of 2K basketball, but the micro transactions got so out of hand in career mode (I don’t play My Team) that 2K18 was my last purchase. I would love to get back into 2K basketball, but I refuse to support their business practices.
Welcome to the world post 2020 when it seems we shifted into some sort of alternate/parallel universe.
Can’t believe I was suckered into paying $500 each for a PS4 Pro 2.0 and an Xbox One X 2.0 nearly 2 years ago. Gen 8 needs to go.
I have always done a full shutdown for both systems. Still good info.
Since Sony chose to use poor packaging they can negotiate with the courier themselves and at the very least reimburse their customer for the difference in the cost between editions.
My take is that if you are going to provide collectors editions at a premium price then the disc should be placed in a premium steel book that cannot easily be damaged. Oh and replace your customers damaged boxes Sony or provide a refund commensurate with the cost of the basic edition.
This is obviously a fairly wide spread problem and your most devoted customers are the most likely purchasers of the Firefly Edition. Show similar devotion to your most ardent of fans to demo...
Please let this be a real game that gets a release this gen.
I can remember the OG Xbox having a hard drive being such a huge deal for me. No more making the difficult decisions associated with what to delete from my memory card. Love that having a hard drive is feature of all consoles now!
Agree that the original MK movie was very good. However, as to your comment on it being hard to mess up a fighting movie, Street Fighter says hello.
