While the author does cite some interesting issues he/she had with it, I personally don't have a lot to complain about as far as Vita hardware goes. I took a look at my friends' Vita and it was a lot better than I initially expected it to be, both feel and OS-wise. For what it does as a stand alone platform, it does them well.

Right now the only thing holding back the Vita is its library. It needs more exclusive games more than ever. More amazing and unique games like...

Ah, I remember this. Decent action-RPG game. Definitely a solid experience for anyone who is a fan of the Tales of series' combat system.

While it does harm some of the confidence consumers may have with Kickstarter funding, it just boils down to one thing; Double Fine is made of people and people make mistakes. This was not an easy situation given the kind of game DF wanted to make and I honestly think they made the best possible decision they could have.

They're still getting the game out, they're still going to get the game to everyone who earned it through backing; I don't think needing more fun...

^This. Capcom and EA found enough ways to abuse the digital distribution model, and now it's difficult to trust DLC announcements as legitimate deals or just ways to dime the consumer for extra content that could have easily been included in the actual package.

David Wise is a musical genius. I'd really love it if he and Grant Kirkhope worked together on a soundtrack of any kind. Too bad Grant could not have gotten involved with this new game. Maybe next time.

How are digital achievements so necessary to being in the 21st century? I would have figured better online components and stronger, more innovative content would fall into that category.

@TongkatAli

What are you talking about? PS4 is confirmed to have a paid online multiplayer service.

How about you stop using the word "fanboys"? That doesn't strengthen your argument, it just gives people a bigger reason to bubble you down. Furthermore, those "fanboys" play Mario Kart and Smash Bros., both of which are multiplayer-centric, the former of which has had a particularly quality online component (specifically in Mario Kart 7...

Best way to get your point across: be outwardly and initially insulting as well as condescending.

Ever think about why you lost two of your bubbles?

In all fairness, there were some folks who disagreed with you, whether that they feel console wars are somehow productive or that Tearaway doesn't look amazing (which I honestly think it does).

Besides, in what time I've spent in this community, I get disagrees no matter what I say. I've said positive things as well as critical things about every big name console maker and someone apparently doesn't like it.

This community is crap. Hope the co...

That's because Ninja Theory's idea of "edgy" and "cool" is making their characters as unlikeable and foul-mouthed as humanly possible, apparently. In The Last of Us, Ellie swears because it fits well with her character (and because much unlike DmC, the writing is absolutely brilliant).

Sums it up pretty well. Gotta love it when the first comment in these more fun articles is a tasteless attempt at humor.

Yeah, because a title totally determines a game's quality. *rolls eyes*

Next.

Likewise. Pikmin and Pikmin 2 were among my favorites on the Gamecube. Looking forward to this release all the same.

Even if the Vita was crushing the Wii U (which is inaccurate given neither platform is exactly selling very quickly and the Vita has been out longer to boot) would it even matter? This headline makes it sound as if Vita outselling Wii U is that big a deal. Shouldn't it be comparing sales to the 3DS? You know, its direct competition?

Either way, it doesn't make much difference. No matter how you shake it, right now neither the Wii U nor the Vita are selling well. Both ...

Most definitely. I want both Wii U and Vita to do well. Frankly I want all of the consoles to do well and make their respective fanbases happy. More competition means more development and more/better games in the long run.

I don't think dedicatedtogamers was trying to say the Vita was useless...

More like, it's doing less badly in sales than it was previously and he's happy it's improved somewhat. I don't see what in his comment made you feel the need to justify your purchase of a Vita.

@LOL_WUT

Also completely irrelevant to the discussion at hand.

4738d ago 26 agree9 disagreeView comment

In all honesty, can that really be justified as a totally experience though? We live in an age where it's pretty challenging to create a totally original concept, more so to execute it.

Don't get me wrong, The Last of Us is a pretty good example of this; it has new characters and a new world to explore. But it's still riding on the concept of a post-apocalyptic zombie outbreak, something that's definitely been done before (not to mention the dynamic between Jo...

As long as the universe does things to stay fresh and likeable (unlike say, DmC or Resident Evil 6) then I'd be fine with that.

Games are fun because they're designed and often written to be fun, not because they are or are not too old. If they make God of War 6, I'm sure more than enough fans will have an awesome time with that too.

@phantom disagrees

Any actual retorts? I really cannot understand why the basic concept of a game ...
