Fantastic game for fans. It's a little repetitive, but it's a lot of fun to combo the crap out of enemies. It's a little bit like Fire Emblem, but with less strategy and a tad more player involvement in combat.
"It's a FACT..."
Stopped reading there. What you just called a FACT is a subjective term. Get it right.
It can. Probably has been. When the consoles are discontinued somewhere after the new consoles come out, obviously that won't be the case. A better question would be "Can Nintendo find an audience when the newer consoles come out?"
I think it can. Not at original Wii numbers, but they can make this system sell better throughout the generation. They're not doing nearly enough to make it happen though.
I can concur with this. The second screen is good for some things, and those features are actually done really well, but they have not been utilized in games very well. You can tell because almost none of Nintendo's games coming out this year will really be using the gamepad a great deal. I think Game & Wario and Pikmin 3 are the only exceptions.
At this point, the Gamepad's best feature is off-TV play. Good feature, not a good selling point.
I may get it somewhere down the line, but I'm budgeting myself and prioritizing which games I get right now. I want to make damn sure I can get Wonderful 101, Pikmin and Sonic Lost World before anything else.
...Am I the only one freaked out that I'm a Nintendo fan who's MORE excited for a new Sonic game as oppose to a new Mario game? Hell must be freezing over.
*face/palm*
Randy, I like you, but... no.
Oh goodness you could not be more right. Brawl's online was absolutely atrocious; an insult to Nintendo's potential in the field. When you look at Mario Kart 7 or Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon or even the Wii-only Mario Strikers Charged, it makes you wonder how Sakurai could have allowed Brawl's online to be released in such a broken, incompetent state.
No names, no leaderboards, no modes, no options and more lag than the Halo PC port. Absolutely unacceptable.
I think it's more about recognizing the truth about the situation.
I'm fully aware Nintendo doesn't give much of a lick about me as a fan as oppose to the contents of my wallet. But I enjoy their products. That's about enough for me.
That's just one personal example of course.
Probably Beyond, or perhaps GTAV? That's a very good question. I'll get back to you on that.
Ahahahahaha BS.
Of course it's related to all the PR trouble around Xbox One. What else could it be? They opted to focus on aspects of the console that no one cared about, restrict content and features on the console and royally screwed their reputation as a result. SOMEONE has to pay for that; just as one Mr. Orth did not too long ago.
I assume this is in regards to current generation third party games? Because obviously the Wii U is not going to graphically match PS4 and Xbox One.
If a publisher/dev makes a claim like that, they need to prove it. The Wii U is a more capable console, so they should take advantage of its hardware. Render games in higher resolutions, or do what Need for Speed did and just make the game look significantly better with higher resolution textures and more detailed effects, things...
I was gonna say, the specs were made pretty clear early on and I'm pretty sure it was established that the PS4 and Xbox One are not level in power, though somewhat similar in architecture. The PS4 is the more capable system; I really don't think there's shame in saying that.
All Microsoft's "cold shoulder" approach is doing is bringing more attention to it and giving the fans something to call them out on.
Microsoft... just fire your...
Gotta give props to this list. I haven't even heard of some of these games. Definitely will be giving them a look-see come their release dates.
"It’s likely that we will see more dedicated Smash Bothers related Nintendo Directs in the future in order to learn more about the upcoming brawler."
Man, I hope this is true. Best part is Sakurai already stated he doesn't plan on releasing all of the info on this game like they did with Brawl on the Dojo. Smash Bros. is retaining its element of discovery, and I can totally dig this.
Congrats to the devs! Can't wait to play this sucker. :)
Earning fan respect (and treating your customers well) is not necessarily a sign of compassion. It's just a way to not piss off the people buying your products. Some companies are better at recognizing this (and how to do it) than others. Sony's just a LOT better at it than Microsoft nowadays.
Honestly, I think any character that has a derivative move set, like Lucas or Falco, should get the axe. Any newcomers with totally original moves should remain unchanged. Luigi's a decent exception since most of his moves are actually pretty different from Mario's anyway.
No. Game & Watch has a unique move set AND he's a part of Nintendo's history. He practically launched with their first handheld gaming device.
The Negotiator's a Spy!
That wasn't even broken.
