I can answer that for you. I want an awesome and deeply story driven Metroid that doesn't involve 90% of the cast being unlikable and Samus being a whiny, needy wimp. Why was this necessary? In Tomb Raider there are SEVERAL scenes where Lara cries and they ALL make sense in context with the story. That game found a way to make it work; Other M failed miserably.
You can't justify the bad decisions in Other M with the moniker that "it's different." If they...
I was going to say... why the hell would I want a console for PC experiences? At that point I'd just get a better PC!
I respect Microsoft's less shady endeavors and the fans who enjoy them, but I see little reason for their inclusion in the console market when Sony is there doing it and doing it much better now.
That would be the nuttiest thing I've heard all day.
Given the current trends, PS4 is practically guaranteed that spot on the throne. I will be very, very surprised if it goes any other way.
Not sure about the two year figure, but I remember in its first year it sold under half a million which was apparently "far below expectations."
From what I understand, the only Metroid that has sold exceptionally well since Super Metroid is Metroid Prime. If there's a killer app to be had, it's Metroid Prime 4 or an entirely new (and far, far less dividing) Metroid concept altogether.
The only spin on this is your failure to consider that Wii U took the number 2 spot in hardware sales only under the 3DS XL.

By your logic, the Vita has done horribly this week as well.

Considering that all Microsoft does is try to out-Sony Sony, I really don't see why we NEED Microsoft's console endeavors anyway. Sony's products can handle what the Xbox is meant for and then some. You have Nintendo for the family oriented easy-to-play console, and then you have Sony for the more singular hardcore experience.
At that point I fail to see why we NEED Sony's doppelganger in the mix. They have had very few exclusives this past generation, and eve...
"But that's just, like, my opinion man."
Righteous duuuude.
I'm fairly savvy with just about any controller. The 360 controller was my favorite for a few years, but I think when it boils down to it, my all-time favorite is the GCN controller. Playing Melee and other great games with it has grown on me quite a bit. Being able to play Wii games also helped the staying power, I'd say.
Wiimote I can totally understand someon...
If any one entity owned the entire market there would not be much of a need to go the extra mile when generating new products. The reason why Apple gets away with their meager iPad/iPhone upgrades is because no one else has their market notoriety. iPad 2 for instance was only smaller, slightly faster and supported Flash. The differences between it and the original iPad practically ended right there.
Not saying any video game entity would do this *cough*Activision*cough* at al...
No, but releasing awfully glitchy games and broken PS3 ports gives them more than enough reason to be criticized. Don't be such an apologist.
Just want to say that all of the following is just my subjective opinion and I mean absolutely no disrespect to anyone who enjoys Other M or its story.
I don't mind there being another Other M game. The gameplay was not the biggest problem (although Sakamoto's input managed to damage that as well). The gameplay did precisely what everyone feared Prime would do and made the game far too action focused. There wasn't enough exploration, the auto aiming was awkward an...
Throwing this out there, but a new production of American McGee's Alice series is being funded on Kickstarter.
I'm really glad someone took the time to list off some of the games trying to get funding. There's a lot of promising independent material out there.
Is there a hub world or is it just level to level? Also it's too bad that the multiplayer is not online. That's the only real drawback for me.
Good news for Wii U. Hopefully that will translate as well in the west.
Man, I would so get this if it wasn't so dang expensive. Had they thrown in the NES games I probably would have tried to pony up for it. Oh well, props to the lucky money-savers who get their hands on these.
Actually if you want to get technical, two exclusives hit the UK in August and US in September; Wonderful 101 comes out in the same months as Pikmin 3 for UK and Zelda Wind Waker for the US.
Not a bad deal when there's another Retro developed Donkey Kong and a promising Sonic title right after.
Four disagrees? Come on guys, at least provide a retort of some kind if you're going to click that disagree button.
Microsoft's policy has been nothing short of backwards and is constantly compared to Sony's actions back in 2006. Overpriced hardware, needless features and a severe lack of communication with the fans of gaming who, you know, are there to hype the crap out of their games and spread word of their new products.
Nintendo keeps certain positive older traits alive in the industry, such as maintaining local multiplayer, no shady DLC practices and fully developed and length...
Yeah, the N64 and Gamecube are TOTALLY known for their vast and expansive libraries of third party games. /s
Get real, troll.
EDIT:
"and to top it off it's big exclusives won't come out till next year!"
Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda and Pikmin all come out this year. Also two of Sega's three Sonic games are due this year as well.
"New talent" doesn't really work though since Hale was never truly recognized as Samus. She only ever did small grunts and screams for the Prime games which were recycled in the later iterations. I'd say AFTER she had gotten a speaking role you could say "Hey, let's get new talent in there."
Besides, I feel Samus' voice was ill-cast. I've watched interviews with her and she seemed far too young and bouncy for such a serious role. Given ...
